A 90-day supply of Alli can guarantee me a 24-pound weight loss in 3 months (but don't eat more than 15 grams of fat per meal)
Love it. I've tried a few different diets over the years and using Alli has given me the fastest and most permanent results. It's the only diet I have ever stuck to (there's not a food I couldn't eat, and it's too expensive to not finish the bottle), and it's the only diet where I won't cheat (for fear of embarrassing side effects if I do!) I purchased a 90-day supply when my weight hit 168 and by the time my bottle was empty I weighed 144, and I honestly never felt like I was dieting or sacrificing a thing. If you're looking for a foolproof and easy dieting plan, this is it, and while there are so many things I would like to share about Alli, the most important is this: DO NOT EAT MORE THAN 15 GRAMS OF FAT PER MEAL. Alli has a horrible reputation for giving you gas, diarrhea, embarrassing bathroom issues -- and it's true, IF you consume more than 15 grams of fat per meal. So don't do it. Why Alli doesn't stress that one important point amazes me, it makes all the difference between amazing success and a side effect that's so embarrassing that people blame it on the product and quit. I lived in Atlanta when I started taking Alli so I was surrounded by fast food restaurants, and because of my schedule it was hard for me to resist the convenience of zipping through a drive-through, which was part of my weight-gain problem. The day I started taking Alli and realized I didn't have to give up fast food (or any food, for that matter) and my weight loss took off. I devoted one entire morning looking up online menus and nutritional charts for every restaurant in the area and bought a small notebook to keep in the car, then I listed by restaurant all my favorite foods from each place and how many fat grams per item. In the morning I could stop at McDonald's and get pancakes, syrup, half of a sausage patty, a carton of milk and hot black coffee and stay within my guidelines. (Note: before I would carry my order out to my car, I would open the container with the sausage, cut it in half with my plastic knife and toss half in their trash. Voila. No temptation.) I could eat a delicious steak & cheese sandwich from Philly Cheesesteak and because there are 14 grams of fat in one sandwich, I would buy a bag of fat-free Lays potato chips to go with it and could eat as many as I liked. Almost all of the sandwiches at Subway contain less than 15 grams of fat, and again I would bring a zip-lock bag of Lays Fat Free chips with me. The meals you can cook at home are endless, and of course leftover grilled chicken was always my fat-free snack if I couldn't make it to the next meal. I could eat out anywhere, I would just check their menu online to see what choices offered less than 15 gram of fat before I arrived, take my Alli BEFORE I walked in the door so I wouldn't be tempted to cheat, and walk out feeling full from a delicious meal and thrilled that I was still 100% on my diet. In 3 months I lost 24 pounds, however if I had exercised, drank more water and limited my carbs as well as fat I know I would have exceeded that amount easily. I went from wearing size 14 stretch pants and an over-sized sweatshirt in March to buying size 6 cotton dresses and capri's by the time summer arrived. My looks changed, my confidence soared, and instead of holding on to the railing when I went up and down the stairs at my house, I had so much energy one morning I actually took them 2 at a time, and was so shocked I ran back downstairs and did it again. I became a version of myself that I hadn't seen in years. Tip: the day you buy Alli, sit down and list as many breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinners that you like with the fat grams in each meal, same with a notebook for restaurants to keep in the car. Also, keep a daily log of everything you eat, and weigh yourself once a week. Oh, and take before pictures! Good luck!

A Helpful Tool When Used Consistently
alli (Orlistat 60 mg) has been a solid addition to my weightโmanagement routine. IT IS NOT A MAGIC FIX, but when paired with a lowerโfat diet and regular activity, it genuinely helps reinforce better habits. I noticed that it keeps me more mindful of what Iโm eating, and the results have been steady and encouraging. The capsules are easy to take, and I appreciate that this is the only FDAโapproved overโtheโcounter weightโloss aid. It gives a bit more confidence that the product does what it claims when used correctly. I also like that the instructions are straightforward and the packaging includes helpful guidance on diet and portion control. I started in June and lost 45 lbs It is pricey but, if you look you can find discounts. I also started to have regular bowel movements that I did not have before. As long as you follow the recommended lowโfat diet, it works smoothly. Staying within those guidelines makes a big difference in comfort and results. For me, itโs been a reliable way to support healthier choices and keep progress moving in the right direction for a weight loss. If youโre looking for an evidenceโbased supplement to complement your weightโloss efforts, alli is a great option to consider.

A tool to help after stopping GLP-1 agonists
I have used Alli for years to help me remain mindful of my fat intake. It really helps because (as others have noted) the physical cost of consuming too much fat is not pleasant. So Alli keeps you on track. Recently I decided to try a GLP-1 agonist (specifically Zepbound) to lose more weight. During my time on Zepbound I stopped using the Alli as I was eating so little food (and almost no fat at all) that it wasn't needed. I weaned off over 4 months ago and restarted the Alli. I have NOT experienced weight rebound since stopping the GLP-1 medication (in fact I am almost 10 pounds lighter than when I stopped. Statistically, I should be up about 5 pounds). While I do have good eating habits, exercise regularly and vigorously, etc., I do think the resumption of the Alli, along with healthy habits, has been helpful in maintaining the weight loss.

New Package, New Capsule-NO PERFORMANCE-PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD PRODUCT
I have used Alli since it was first brought onto the market and Xenical before it was rebranded as Alli to great use and effectiveness. Even when you include the side effects (thank good news for Tide), it was an excellent product that did its part in helping me lose 20lbs or more every year that I needed to lose a lot of weight. I recently needed to lose some weight but after a week, I notice it was not workingโ-no weight loss and no side-effects. Attached here is the bottle I purchased and it came in a different package. I even purchased from multiple vendors. Today, I was wondering if there was anything I could learn on the internet and should not have been surprised when I discovered that others had the same experience I found an older capsule, it was much smaller than the new one. The older version is pictured on the left and the newer one was on the right. Note the difference in the granularity. The old one on the right iis a fine powder, the one on the left is more coarse, like pepper. In the last year I received samples of the Oristat from an international pharmacist and it worked the same as the old product. It made me wonderโlike the MD review hereโ-is the capsule thicker and the product not effective because it stays together through out my digestion? I also wondered if it was possibly fake? The artwork of the brand is also different (thinner font) and the label seems cheaperโeven the box it came is did not have the shiny appearance of the former package. The new one looks cheaper. If it is authentic product, it is definitely less costly to make vs the fancier box that was curved and not a box. Because the package and art look so different, I believe that it is authentic โnot a bad fake. I plan to call the manufacturer, I expect their customer service to be on top of this and will see if I can edit this review later. This is expensive product and may attempt for have the sellers give me a refun on the unused product. Hope this was helpful

Works, but at a Cost
Been taking this since the beginning of December. It's worth noting that all in all, my diet isn't all that bad to begin with. For the most part I eat healthy, but I'm not afraid to indulge here and there. I lost 6-7 lbs pretty quickly, and didn't gain any weight through the holidays, despite way over indulging. But that came at a cost, which I'll get to shortly. Pros: this pill definitely works, evidenced by the orangish oil you'll see floating in the toilet after pooping. However, I think it took a few days before I had any sort of oil. I also feel like I lost the initial 6-7 lbs quicker than I would have without this pill. Coupled with a relatively healthy diet, and a little cheat here and there, the adverse side effects are minimal and easy to predict. Cons: the adverse side effects when you over indulge. Like I said, it took a few days for me to notice it working. On the second night I decided to test it out and had a pretty heavy dinner. Spaghetti and meat sauce. The next morning while working out, it hit me and it was all I could do to get to a toilet before having an accident. No discomfort or anything, and once I was done I was good to go back to my workout. Occasionally it's hard to trust a fart, but I've never had an accident. And now the worst part, indulging over the holidays. Over the Christmas holidays, I ate way too much, as lots of people do. Well a couple days after Christmas and now I have quite a bit of discomfort. Last night, I was up every hour on the hour going to the bathroom with a really bad upset stomach. No nausea though. And today, I'm still going to the bathroom frequently, just not every hour. I should have weighed myself before and after to see how much weight I lost from going to the bathroom that much. I'd like to think I lost 5 pounds of poop lol. In summary, this pill definitely works as advertised for me. Coupled with a fairly balanced diet, it will help you lose some weight quickly, with minimal negative side effects. Just be careful with your diet. This pill not only helps you go into a caloric deficit by blocking the absorption of some fats, but also deters you from cheating. If you over indulge, be ready to have consequences.

A god-send for me . . . with other tools
I started using Alli again in March along with other weight loss aids as part of a medically-supervised weight loss program. I had used it previously, with limited success, but that success was not wholly a failure on the part of the product as I sometimes forgot to take it and I didn't always fully meet the dietary restrictions. This time, however, it has made a major contribution to a very successful weight loss effort that has impressed even my doctor. To start with, I had gastric bypass surgery in 2002 that resulted in a weight loss of 188 lbs. Some rebound is common and even expected, but due to various circumstances, I gained weight at the rate of approximately 10 lbs a year, for a total of almost 60 lbs, which is much higher than normal. I made MANY attempts to lose weight but NONE resulted in more than a few lbs loss, no matter what I tried. Then, in February, I became a patient of Dr. Dominic Ricciardi, a bariatric physician who specializes in post-op weight loss surgery patients. (Contrary to popular opinion, long-term post-ops often have a harder time taking off "small" amounts of weight than the average person.) My husband and I started his program together. I have a hard time calling it a program though, since it consists mostly of a calorie-controlled diet (1600 calories for me, 2000 for my husband) with journaling to keep track of calories and protein, physical activity, and the use of prescription phentermine. Prior to beginning the program, we had a full lab workup, and in office we were tested with EKG, Calorimeter, BP, weight, body composition, and measurements. We had great success in the first month. Following an auto accident, I began to have headaches related to a neck injury. When I mentioned this to Dr. Ricciardi, he prescribed me Topomax for the headaches. Some of the well-known "side-effects" of this medication are a marked decrease in appetite and a change in sense of taste with regard to some foods/drinks. This is so distinct that the medication is in the process of being patented as a combo drug WITH phentermine for weight loss. He told me this because he knew that I was already doing very well with the phentermine alone, people taking Topomax often eat TOO LITTLE and he wanted to make sure I continued getting enough nutrition. He was right. I essentially lost the desire to eat (which is a wonderful thing for someone who is essentially a food addict.) At the same time, I told him that I had a supply of Alli from the last time I dieted, and I wanted to know if it would be acceptable for me to take it. He told me that would be fine, and gave me the go ahead to take the prescription dosage. My Amazon purchase was my "refill" after I went through my reserves. Fat content has always been a problem for me for any number of reasons. First, fat is what makes food yummy! Second, especially when it comes to meat, the leaner the cut, the tougher it cooks and the easier it dries out. As a post-op, I need plenty of protein, and it does need to be lean, but it also needs to be tender and moist or it will get stuck in my pouch. It gets very difficult to keep a very low-fat piece of meat tender and moist! Third, my body composition has ALWAYS been higher in fat than normal. Even after massive amounts of plastic surgery following the bariatric surgery, I carried more fat than is normal. Getting fat to leave my body seems impossible, and you can only limit consumption to a certain degree. This is why Alli is such a godsend. As for the side-effects . . . yeah, they're gross. When I've consumed too much fat, I know it. And it has hit at some very bad times, often when I was just about to leave for work. I've had to change clothes more than once. Guess what? I'm NOT COMPLAINING. 9 years ago, a doctor cut me open from groin to sternum and rearranged my insides, and it gave me my life back. It was not easy. It was painful. I had to learn to eat all over again and I got so sick that I was hospitalized for 2 weeks, put on TPN for 2 months, and finally started to be able to eat solid food again 3 months after surgery. My "pouch" is the size of a grape, but it is not meant to hold food, it just acts as a valve to regulate the rate of consumption. If I eat too much too fast, I get stuck and get sick. If I eat the wrong thing, that's too bulky or too dry, I get stuck and get sick. Because of the bypass, if I eat food that is high in refined sugar (or even too much natural sugar), I get sick. I can even get sick from too much fat. Now, with Alli, if I have too much fat, I know what will happen. It's called aversion therapy, and after awhile, you don't need to think about it. The IDEA of what that piece of fried chicken will do to you makes you shudder. That's the POINT! Lately, the only time I have side effects are when I eat something that I THOUGHT was within the guidelines but actually was not. (This might be because I ate out or with friends and had to guesstimate fat content.) I accept consequences and take precautions. If you can't deal, don't take Alli. After everything I went through (that I would do all over again in a heartbeat), I find it laughable that so many people who seem so "desperate" to lose weight get indignant because a weight loss product WORKS. Alli is designed to block the absorption of some of the fat you consume. The idea is to NOT consume too much, and it will do its job by still blocking part of what you do consume. If you do have too much, it's going to do its job even BETTER and block ALOT of that fat. And you'll probably leak (as I call it). Don't want to leak? Then control your fat intake. When you see that gross orange stuff in the toilet bowl, smile. The stuff that you paid a lot of money for is working, and be glad that it's there and not in YOUR body. If its working, and you still aren't losing weight, then it might be that fat isn't your problem and you may need to troubleshoot. I started with Dr. Ricciardi on February 2nd (taking only Phentermine at first) weighing 200 lbs. I began Topomax and Alli near the end of March. I have lost steadily and continuously ever since. At last weigh-in on June 30th, I had lost 40 lbs. Now, you may be saying, "that doesn't mean it's the Alli . . . what about all the other elements?" My husband has ONLY been taking the phentermine. He started at 336 lbs. He has also lost 40 lbs. However, because he is heavier and male, he should be losing weight much more quickly than me. I cannot say that Alli alone has done it, but to go 5 months without a slowdown of weight loss, and to be only 10 lbs from goal is something that is shocking even to Dr. Ricciardi, and he is a bariatric specialist. I can't help but think the Alli is playing a significant role.

With each pill, I found solace in imagining the science at work, visualizing it acting as a meticulous sentinel, sieving through dietary fats, and optimizing my body's absorption process. **Cons**: **The Ebb and Flow of Results**: As I transitioned into the third week, my meticulously maintained journal began to reveal a tapestry of variegated experiences. There were exhilarating days when the scales tipped favorably, interspersed with others that bore the weight of stagnation, even with alli's promise. **Digestive Revelations**: A particularly memorable entry from week four revolved around a family soirรฉe. My gustatory indulgences that day offered a crash course in how alli interacts with richer foods. The subsequent digestive repercussions were a stark reminder of the pill's intricate workings and the need for informed choices. **Navigating the Dietary Terrain**: The subsequent week demanded a heightened level of dietary diplomacy. A spontaneous weekend escape posed challenges: how does one maintain a disciplined, low-fat regimen amidst a tantalizing spread of gourmet dishes? It had a part to play, but the lion's share of progress hinged on my dietary choices, consistent workouts, and mental fortitude. โ๏ธ **Commitment: The Unsung Hero**: As I rounded off my second month, one realization emerged crystal clear. While alli proved to be an insightful companion, the real architect of any progress I witnessed was an unwavering commitment, an intrinsic drive for holistic betterment. **In Closing**: Two months, drenched in moments of clarity, bouts of trial and error, and myriad emotions, have crystallized my perspective on alli. It stands as a distinctive pillar in the intricate edifice of weight loss. While it offers tangible support, it's also a touchstone, constantly reflecting back the importance of personal responsibility, commitment, and an informed approach.

โDid Not Work Well for My Body, But May Work for Othersโ
I wanted to share my personal experience with these Alli pills. Unfortunately, they did not work well for my body. I followed the instructions carefully. In fact, I was being even more cautious than recommended โ instead of taking the full suggested dosage, I only took one pill per day with lunch, since that is usually my meal with the most fat. However, the side effects were extremely uncomfortable for me. For about a week I experienced oily stools, leakage, and accidents that stained my underwear. I also had gas that caused oil-like spotting, and the toilet would have oily residue with a very unpleasant smell. It was honestly very distressing and uncomfortable. Because of how bad the symptoms were, I stopped taking the pills after one week. I even had to take two days off work because my stomach pain and digestive symptoms were so intense. I attempted to request a return through Amazon since I only used the product for a week, but the system does not give me the option to return or request a refund. If the seller sees this review, I would greatly appreciate being contacted or assisted with a possible refund, since the product unfortunately made me feel very sick. That said, I want to be fair. I do not want to leave a negative impression about the product overall. I purchased it because many people reported great results, and the product description and reviews looked very promising. It is possible that my body simply reacted poorly to it. Just because it didnโt work for me does not mean it wonโt work for others. Many people seem to benefit from it โ it just wasnโt the right fit for my body.
