Where is this knife made?

KYOKU Daimyo Series are produced with Japanese steel, adopting the most traditional Japanese knife manufacturing technologies, and then they are painstakingly handcrafted in China. VG10 steel production volume is limited due to various factors, however KYOKU's factory has tried the best to satisfy the needs every year so that we can handcraft each and every knife with Japanese made VG10 steel in China.

are these knives for lefties?

Please, the handle is ambidextrous? The blade is the real question! Is the blade symmetrical, as in, is the blade sharpened with a final tapers on both sides of the blade allowing both lefty's and righty's to equally make an easy cut. If the blade is tapered on only one side it will usually favor a righty. The lefty's, 10% of the population, will not find it as easy to cut with that knife as a righty. In fact most lefties have been life long compensating for that 90% of people not being in their right mind!
