Wanted a scoop to make uniform size meatballs to cook consistently. Considered other scoop options, but this tool has the advantage. I scooped the mix and when it’s closed, excess mix comes out a hole placed at top and bottom. It was easy to remove excess from outside. Left with a perfect meatball. Not commercial grade, but if it’s not overpacked or squeezed hard, it should last. Bonus getting 2 sizes.

Easy to use and clean. Love that there are two different sizes for whatever you are making.

I gave it a 4 star because both sides of the ball do not line up evenly when you close them. I have used them a few times now and I think at first they did line up properly. Even so, they still work really well for creating spheres, so I do still recommend this product. I bought them for making the same size cake pops quickly and easily. They work nicely for that. I have now given them to my son to use with his playdough for a fun fine motor activity. He calls them his "playdough scissors". I haven't let him use scissors yet, but I feel like these will work his hand muscles the same way scissors do and it will make teaching him how to use scissors easier when I feel like he is ready to use them. We may even use these to make snowballs as a fun outdoor activity this year. I feel like these can be a great tool for various things! If I need more, I would buy these again.

Great option for sizes. Works well for cookies but is a little flimsy so the 2 pieces shift when squeezing making it go to the side. Sometimes sticks ball inside but not too difficult to get out. Ok for cost and how often I will use.

Look, these are for *simplifying* the process of making meatballs - it is not going to pop out a "perfect" meatball for you. It will have a bit of a seam around the middle. It will be most of the way there. But a brief hand roll will actually give you the "perfect" meatball. What this does is make them *all the same size* right off the bat with very little hand rolling needed, just a quick finishing roll. No eyeballing or weighing out each one for constancy. As someone with severe inflammatory arthritis, it is a gamechanger for me! I love making meatballs, but all the hand work can be difficult or even simply not doable at times. But with this product I made a batch in something like a quarter of the amount of time, if not less, with so much less hand rolling. And so much easier on my wrists and finger joints! But do follow the instructions and oil the surfaces between every one. Either with a spray oil or a bowl of oil to dip them into. The end product will pop right out and be much smoother, meaning less finishing rolling.

Purchased for my daughter. She makes meatballs frequently, for pasta dishes or cocktail meatballs for the holidays. Rolling them by hand can be tedious especially with multiple batches. She is absolutely thrilled! She has not used them yet, but she likes the sturdiness, and the cushioned handles. I will post an update once she makes her Christmas meatballs, they are very much in demand and she receives multiple orders between now and New Year's. Wonderful price and they look like her life in the kitchen just got easier.

These ballers are not good. The balls do not come out in one piece. Sticks to both sides of tongs when you open them up. The meatballs are in two sections. You have to stick something in the holes of each half to get the meat out. Might as well do it by hand. Micah easier. And for returns, they make it very difficult. Instead of just taking product to return to Whole Foods, you either pay Amazon $8 for a pickup or have to drop off at a UPS store but then you need to print the label yourself and supply a box. No thank you. Dropping at Whole Foods is much easier. Will not be purchasing anything from this dealer again. Don’t buy this product.
