Mud Pie Farmhouse White-Washed Beaded Wood Pedestal Paper Towel Holder, Grey

I bought one that had been returned. Super affordable but the rod didn't fit well in the base ( very loose) so I had my husband cut the rod just below the ball on top and glued the rod tight in the stand. I put Velcro on the two pieces of rod and now can easily change the paper towel and cut doesn't show. I love the style and wood is nice quality. Other reviews complained about the screw portion being a pain or didn't hold up but my solution was quick and i think it will hold up forever. This holder is so original!

UPDATE 4 YEARS LATER: It's still in perfect condition! Haven't had any issues with it AT ALL! Still love it just as much now as I did when I first bought it 4 years ago!!! I have been looking at this paper towel holder for a while because I absolutely loved how it looked and it matches my decor so well. I held off on purchasing for a while though because of all the mixed reviews. However, it arrived super fast, came packaged extremely well, there were no design flaws (other than it being distressed on purpose), and nothing was falling off or broken. The paper towel roll fits over the top of the holder so you do not have to unscrew it ever time to put a new roll on, and it fits perfectly - the holder itself was not at all too short for the roll of paper towels (we use bounty essentials paper towels). I would say that it is definitely taller than your standard paper towel holder and just barely fit under my cabinets, but it DOES fit without touching them. Overall, very happy with this purchase! If you’re on the fence like I was, JUST DO IT! Don’t let the negative reviews scare you! :)

This is the first paper towel holder I enjoyed being out on the counter. First, it is aesthetically gorgeous both in its build and wooden beading. Second, it is an ergonoically easy towel tearing holder. Third, it is a great gift to friends for birthdays, weddings, house warming, or just re-decorating. One of my best buys and have bought it multiple times.

Somewhat fragile.

I purchased a "returned" version of this at a lesser price and it was worth it. It's very farmhouse and matches my kitchen theme. Two things I'll note: I wish it were a tad bit heavier so when you have a new paper towel roll, you don't take the whole thing with you when trying to get a single paper towel. And secondly, if you use a larger roll of paper towels, you may want to remove the smaller wooden rod. It just gets in the way. I removed it and you can't even tell.

Yes, if the product I received was nice and straight like the pictures in the adds, I would have been pleased even though $40.00 is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a paper towel holder. Mud Pie is a well known name brand, therefore I never expected the piece of junk that was delivered to my door. Mud Pie should be ashamed to put their name on the junk I got. As you can see from the photos, this is an extremely inferior product. There is no way to screw the center dowel or the side dowel in straight! The roll of paper towels can't even hide the imperfection, as they very obviously sit to one side of the holder instead of in the center. Also, one of the beads is no longer attached to the base as the others are. Definitely going back!!! Those that wrote good reviews were very lucky that the received one of the very few decent products for their money.

I love the style of this holder. My main issue with it, is that the center pole will not screw in straight. The way the screw was put in, it leans to the side. Also, I wish that the ball at the top screwed off instead of having to unscrew the whole center pole to change the paper towel roll. With it being lopsided, it is a VERY tedious process.

This paper towel holder is SO charming yet very sophisticated and VERY well made. It adds a wonderful touch of class to what is usually a mundane item. Perfect! And, I’m anxious to add another piece of the collection, problem is, which one?? Everything is great!

Perfectly matched my other items; adds a great esthetic as for Adam a Paper towel holder goes! Worth the extra $ compared to a cheap wooden or black metal one! Fits very large toll f paper towel!

Looks pretty but impractical. The middle spindle is too thick for the paper towel insert and as it's too tight it doesn't turn at all to pull of pieces of paper towel. Certainly NOT worth the money!.

Before I spent this much on a towel holder I read all the reviews which most were positive, when it got delivered it looked great however when I put my paper towel roll on it it’s too small. The top decorative knob is half covered. Not sure why the mis measurement as paper towels are a standard length. This completely takes away from the look and I’ve had to hide it under my counter. It’s pretty much useless as a nice decorative piece
