We have used other brands, but our turtle prefers this one. Our turtle is over five years old and healthy. The major ingredients are fish products, but food does not have a strong fish smell. This size bag lasts about eight weeks. The pellets are a good diameter for the turtle and the goldfish also eats it.

This is a very handy protein source for my Chinese Box Turtles. It contains several protein sources, which is good for their nutrition. I just mix it in with their veggie buffet, add a little water, and let it all sit for a few minutes before presenting it to my turtles. They love it and just gobble it right up. I have raised my girls from hatchlings, and they are almost three years old now and are healthy and growing. I feed the Mazuri every other day. The food is a good value for the money. I highly recommend it.

This is great turtle food but I've found the smell changes after a few months since first opening the container, even if the container is always re-sealed. For this reason I keep the main bag in the freezer and take out small amounts to feed my turtle. My musk turtle really likes this food and always eats it with gusto and great interest. This is the only turtle food I know of that contains pork and pork bones as well as chicken. Very complete nutrition.

My turtle go crazy with Mazuri but beware don't feed to turtle eveyday, my turtle had diarrhea when fed everyday. So I had to give it once or twice a week only, which was also my initial feeding schedule for this specific pellet.
