I am officially a fan! My teenage son does competitive dance, and we bought a used costume from a former teammate to use this season. When I tell you that the costume reeked of body odor, I mean it was enough to knock you out and not even call a cab to get you home safely. It. Was. Bad. If you are a dance mom, you know that you can't just throw costumes in the washer, just in case things go badly and then you are THAT mom that ruined the group dance for everyone. I seriously tried everything I could think of with this thing, though. I tried the vodka trick, diluted vinegar, and I even washed it (gasp!) in the washer. NOTHING touched this b.o., and I still nearly passed out every time I walked past it (even giving myself about a 4 foot buffer). Then I decided to try Defunkify spray. Seriously. This is the absolute BEST stuff ever invented. ONE application, and when it dried I couldn't even tell this was a used costume. The stench was completely gone. Just like that. Poof. I am now a card-carrying member of the Defunkify Fan Club and will be using this for the rest of my son's dance journey. I plan to spray his room down just for the fun of it next!

This really works! My dogs coolaroo smelled so bad even after I washed it, I got this and in an hour no more bad smell. Same with dog beds, etc. I have recommended it to many people.

It works very well with most regular odors. However with smoke whether it's from a BBQ or a cigar/cigarettes or chemical/grease smell you have to use much more of the product to eliminate the odor. So If you're around smoke often or you smoke or if you work around chemicals or work around grease dont want to have their dirty work clothes hamper stink up an area like grease/chemicals this would be an expensive option because there are better multi use odor eliminators out there. But for most this would work fine overall good product just not the most affordable for what I need it for.

Seriously, I never write product reviews but I habe to let the world know about how crazy this stuff is... I've been working from home for the past month and... haven't been the best about hygeine when I knew I wouldn't be leaving the house for the day... I've been working in our den which is probably the room in our house with the worst ventilation. The sweaty man musk that had built up over the last month is a smell that took over the room and started to spill it's way out into the hallway. There's one doorway to the room and two big windows. I first tried to douse the room in a disinfecting fragrance spray by clorox; didn't do anything. I sprinkled a bunch of baking soda in the carpet and had some open and sitting out--nothing. I opened the windows and had the box fan running... but the smell only briefly left and then came back just as strong. And really thought all of these countermeasure the fan was running constantly and still is. My next plan was to get a frebreze fabric odor eater spray of some kind to spray the office chair, carpet, and couch in there, so I just found the first thing on amazon with the best reviews... that's when I bought this product. I opened the box, read the label, and was disappointed at the lack of any claims that this was anything but a perfume to temporarily mask an odor. The ingredients list was short, and nothing on it seemed impressive: pleasant-smelling, but unassuming. So I sprayed it in the room... just absolutely everywhere. The the main source of the office chair, the couch, the carpet, the desk, the curtains, the walls... so yea... quite the strong scent after I was done. I left it overnight, fan running, but no windows open. Came back the next morning expecting the man musk still be there with most of that spray smell gone (result of the clorox spray) but nope... that stubborn smell disappeared. Gone. Freaking gone. I was so shocked and still am. It's the weekend so I don't really have to use the room, but I keep swinging back through to take a bug whif just to make sure my nose was working before and... it damn sure was. This spray is literally unbelievable and the only reason I'm writing this review is because I know how much more happiness this product can bring to other people that think they're put of options but have unfortunately not been acquainted with this product. I'm looking forward to trying this on so many other things. Serious power in this product. WOWZA

This does its job! Fabreeze covers up but this actually takes odor away. The scent does smell chemically but if you spray some some room spray after you won’t notice.

We recently moved into a house built in the 1960s. The basement has been completely remodeled with soundproof panels on all of the walls. These are a fabric type material - great for recording or podcasting. One of the things I noticed when we looked at the house was that it definitely had a musty odor in the basement. Besides running a dehumidifier and a true HEPA filter, some of the musty smells persisted. I’m not sure if everyone realizes that walls absorb smells just like any other material or item in your home. Enter Defunkify. After just one use, the musty smell is gone! Granted, I used a lot of the product probably more than most people would normally use because it was our first time treating the wall panels. My basement has a very light scent of lavender mixed with a powdery scent. it is not overwhelming in the least. As someone who suffers from asthma, I am very sensitive to scented anything. I can assure you that this product has not bothered my asthma at all, nor my sensitivity to smells. I find the lavender scent quite pleasant, so much so that I’m going to order more plus the other two scents. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to read their home of funky odors!

This spray had a pleasant smell to it and lasted for quite a while. It did not take the musty oder away for good. I had to keep spraying it.

I have two dogs that did some counter surfing while I was gone. They ate five sticks of butter, paper and all. When I returned they had vomit and diarrhea all over the place. I spent four back-breaking days trying to get the vomit smell from my two-year-old couch and the carpet I had installed three years ago. I tried everything I could think of that had a chance of killing the smell. I hired a carpet cleaner to come in and that didn’t help. I used a handheld Bissell machine on the couch, scrubbed the couch with dish soap and hot water, washed the cushions covers three times in the washer, left the cushions outside for days in the fresh air, not to mention using a handful of smelly sprays. The vomit and poo smell was still there. I had decided I was going to have to replace the couch and pull up the carpet and pad. I had even made a phone calls to the furniture store to see if they still carried my couch. I was googling hardwood floor companies in town. At the last minute I decided to get on Amazon and look to see if there was something amazing out there to try one last time. I came across Defunkify Oder Remover spray that had outstanding reviews by everyone. I just wish I would have done that at the beginning as I am on my third chiropractor appointment for the back and neck problems I have from the deep cleaning of everything the dogs got sick on (it wasn’t just the couch and furniture). I can not believe after one round of spray on the couch and carpet I have no more smell. That was four days ago and still, no smell. I will always make sure I have a bottle of this on hand. It is an AMAZING product. Do yourself a huge favor and buy this. You won’t regret it.
