Best pump kit yet
This is hands down my favorite pump kit. I used to use zoeller pump kit but this one is so much easier to install and service. It's also a lot better made than the zoeller kit. The zoeller kit it like cheap plastic. This one is like hdpe. Additionally, I used to dislike the pumps with the "pass through" plug design for the float, but I realized that being able to just plug the pump in for testing is such an awesome feature. I never realized that until I bought this set up.

Great quality pump but not a direct swap for the prior version.
The prior version of this lasted 20 years doing its job for a utility sink and washing machine grey water. So that was great. I probably shortened its life by running a sump pump to it for a few years when the sump failed. This model is the successor of that one. I don't necessarily blame the manufacturer but I have to admit being irked that I couldn't just swap them out without doing major retrofitting. This model is 3 inches shorter and some of the ports are in different places. Oh well, comes with the territory when a product is redesigned. This model does have an improvement where you can take off a top plate to check the pump without disconnecting and dissembling the unit. If I didn't have to retrofit, I would have given it 5 stars for a new install as it's more compact and would make it easier to fit into tighter areas. This company makes great quality American made products and we should support them as much as we can. Update: I had an issue with the pump shuddering, thought it might be an airlock problem with the pump itself. Turned out it was a defective check valve. Just a FYI for those experiencing similar problem.

Not prime - Beware of dimensions
The 0.14"L x 0.14"W x 0.11"H stated equates to 1.68” x 1.68” x 1.32”. Knew this was not correct but thought it was made for a typical basin sink. If I had accurate dimensions, would have known it was too big to begin with. This leads to my next issue on “prime”. It got here in a few days being “prime” yes. However I am waiting to get my money back days and days after dropping at UPS store. Will update later on how long it truly takes to receive my money back on this “prime” item. Unfortunately, need that money to continue fixing the pump issue for my dad at this point. All that said, am familiar with this pump and must say it’s a great little unit.

It works great!!
I’m so glad I found this! I was quoted by a plumber $3000 to solve my laundry problems , ( that included tearing up my basement floor) I think the entire cost of everything was under $600, a friend of mine ( bricklayer not plumber) installed it. It works great!!!

Works
My floor drain went out of commission so I had to move my water softener to the otherside of the basememt. I used the 404 to pump the discharge to the main line that empties into the septic tank. This system is advertised to handle the salty discharge which I hope is true. The pump handles the discharge and pumps about about 10 times. It's quiet. Be sure to add a check valve and ball valve on the discharge side. Also, you will need proper venting. AAV will not work because it's a sealed system that needs airflow in and out.

Would be nice if it had a second float switch for an alarm if the pump fails.
A future exact replacement for one I own to keep life simple.

I recieved this pump incredibly damaged. Both the box and the pump itself. Not operational at all!!! Had to order another one which was good. We've been using this model pump for 12 years. They're great.
