First, sound quality. It is fantastic. They really sound like they're worth a lot more than they cost. I have bought many wireless and wired in the past that cost more and don't sound as good (some which I still have so I could actually compare them). The only buggy things about the sound is that: 1) if you don't put them on properly, they can sound weird. This is true for most earphones out there, and our ear canals are all different so it's not really the earbuds' fault, but these seem to exaggerate the issue more than any others I have had. One may sound more muffled than the other, or you'll notice how the sound changes as you tilt your head one way or the other, usually losing presence, and similar. I got to a point where I know how to insert the left one and know that none of these issues will take place, but I haven't figured out the right one yet. Once I do I'll probably be extremely happy and disregard the following. 2) They seem to do something to the stereo image to enhance it, perhaps the "binaural" feature? Some companies use the term "binaural calls" only to say they each bud has a mic, but perhaps these actually have binaural playback? Or maybe, since these link to each other and not both to your device directly, there's a bit of latency, and the sound hits one ear before it does the other, creating an extended stereo effect. I definitely feel that the center channel is spread out, so either of these hypotheses can be true. Some may find it cool, but I am an audio engineer and I like to hear exactly what the mixing and mastering engineers were going after when listening to music. You notice this a lot more during calls. I haven't found this to be a huge deal, though, just distracting at the moment. People who don't pay attention to such details may not notice anything at all. In terms of battery life, I'll be honest, there's very little chance I personally will wear these for more than the 3.5 hrs top they would run on a full charge, so keep that in mind when reading this review. I have 3 sets of earplugs and 6 headphones, and 2 sets of mixing/mastering-graded speakers. Ear fatigue is real when you work in audio, and even when listening for pleasure I switch headphones and speakers, or stop listening all together, every few hours. (When working on a mix I switch every few minutes). Even my workout sessions don't last more than 1 hr; my train trips don't last more than 2.5 hrs; and even if they did, again, I wouldn't be able to stand ANY headphone or speaker for more than the 3.5 hrs these would last, not my Bose nor my Shure headphones, not my $6K Dynaudio mixing and mastering station. All that being said, I got these last week and I have charged them twice, but really I had no need. I have used them a lot this week while testing them and put them in their base after each use. Both times that I put them to charge, both buds and the station were fully charged in like 10-15 mins, so it seems I could have gone a lot longer without charging. I would definitely recommend these above anything else in the market, unless you wanna go with the new, upcoming Sony ones. Those link directly to your device, so there would be no latency between either ever. Of course, those cost over $200, and these are hard to beat at the price. Also, these are already Bluetooth 5 enabled. Bluetooth compresses (read *degrades*) the audio information so it can travel wirelessly, but if you didn't notice anything when you got your first Bluetooth stuff 8 years ago, don't worry: it is almost unnoticeable when it comes to consumer-graded stuff. Being gen 5, this means these degrade sound less than previous generations. After all, if you are listening to Spotify, you are already listening to an mp3 at 320kbps at best, which is already very compressed (again, *degraded*, this is the reason why no actual pro audio, studio applications use Bluetooth, it's not ready for that yet). I used to have a rule of not buying anything Bluetooth for more than $20-30 for these very reasons, but I broke the rule of course for the true wireless situation, the charging base, the gen 5 thing, AND these are actually my second SoundPeats earplugs. The first ones I bought a couple years ago for like $18, Bluetooth 3 I believe and both joined by a wire and, truly, for the price they were also amazing. I lost them, I bought others from other brands in a similar price range but they all sounded terrible (as they should, to be honest!). So I went back to SoundPeats and yup, these are some of the best things you can buy for the money. ---- Update: I using the smallest ear pieces included still holds them tight in my ear AND eliminates all other sonic problems. I can move my head around freely without the sound changing and now the stereo image has been "fixed". This makes sense actually because when you change the eq of one side only, either digitally, with analog eq, or mechanically (as it was occurring by my head movement shifting my ear canal and how the ear piece bended, all affecting how the sound traveled until it reached my ear drum) there will be phase issues in relation to the other side. The center channel in particular (what sounds center when both L and R channels are playing at equal distance from the listener) will be affected, frequencies can get cancelled out partially or even totally, giving a sense of separation on both sides of the stereo field that isn't quite desirable. So yeah, buy these, and experiment with the ear pieces.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my new ear buds! I highly recommend these ear buds! They work very well. Connecting them to my phone was super easy. I usually just use the right ear bud during my work day and it almost always lasts the full 8 hours I'm there; I've only heard the low battery warning twice since I've started using them. When I did, I simply put the right ear bud back in the charging case and used the left ear bud. It's been a little more than a week since I received them. I finally decided to charge the case after a week had passed simply because I figured it was time. I have also used them while doing yard work and the ear bud stayed in my ear with no issues despite moving around, bending over, sweating, etc. This is my third set of SoundPeats Bluetooth earbuds - the first two, which overall I really liked, had cords connecting the two buds and I was tired of having the cord get tangled in my hair, clothes, etc. (I usually only kept one in my ear so I could hear background sounds.) These "truly wireless" buds have solved all of my issues for what I think is an incredible price. The only very slightly negative aspects are: my outer ear got a little sore after wearing it - but my ears are kind of small and after a week, there's no soreness; I've been told the sound quality during phone calls is not great (though adequate) - this slightly disappointed me but I don't talk on the phone much. I bought these for listening to podcasts and considering the product price, it doesn't affect my overall satisfaction; connecting the left ear bud for the first time was a little confusing, but I realized right away that I did it incorrectly. The first time I tried, I had the right one connected when I removed the left one, so when I put the right one away, the left one wasn't connected correctly. I just simply put them both back in the case, waited a second or two, then removed only the left one, and then connected it through my Bluetooth settings. Basically, they function as two separate Bluetooth devices, which is really convenient. (Or of course, they can function together to give you stereo sound.)

Let me start by saying that my co-worker has a pair of Apple Airpods, which look great, feel great, have great battery life, and the sound is absolutely amazing, but they are $200. In comparison, I have written my review: First things first, the quality of the product. 4/5 stars. We're talking hardware and software. Hardware wise, these are plastic earphones and you can definitely tell, but they don't feel cheap. The airpods are also plastic, so I would not expect anything other than plastic. The hardware on these earphones are exactly what would be expected in a pair of earphones, if not a little more. The plastic is smooth and feels quality enough. Plus, both the earphones themselves and the case have light indicators which show whether the item is charged, charging, dying, or connecting to your phone. It is actually very detailed to be the most beneficial to you, the buyer. Now, the other part of the hardware that shows less quality, but still not an issue, is the actual plug on the earbud where it enters your ear. Unlike on the Apple Airpods, these come with rubber tips that you can take off and replace easily. Soundpeats was actually kind enough to include multiple sizes to accommodate for differently shaped ears, which was pretty cool. The only thing that is a downside about these rubber tips is their aesthetic appeal. They don't look as sexy as the Apple Airpods, but as far as performance goes, they are actually more comfortable than the Airpods. Really, with that said, it is up to you as to whether or not the rubber tips are a problem or not. I like them because they are more comfortable and the bigger tips make for a better noise cancelling experience (though these earbuds are certainly not noise cancelling). As for the software, its just an earphone so there isn't much to it. They have a 5.0 Bluetooth connector inside of them, and it has worked really well so far. I hooked the earbuds up to my phone, left it on the counter of my third story apartment unit, walked down to the first floor and then about 50-100 feet from there before losing connection. So the Bluetooth connection is everything I need it to be. Let's be honest, we all usually have our phones within 30 feet of us most of the time anyway, so that kind of connection is all we need. The ONLY flaw I found with the Bluetooth was its lag on videos. When watching youtube videos on this thing, there was a lag between what video and audio, and it was a noticeable lag. I have considered the possibility that it might have to do with the Bluetooth on my phone's end, or just Bluetooth in general (maybe this is something that is common with all true wireless earbuds). Because of that, I did dock it a star, since either way I cannot watch videos with these earbuds. But in the grand scheme of things, that's OK, because I will mostly use them for podcasts and Spotify while I am at the office. Second, lets talk about sound. 5/5 stars. These earbuds have great sound, especially when you consider how much money you are saving in comparison to something like the Airpods. When I compared the sound quality to the Airpods, there was an obvious difference in the sense that the Airpods sounded clearer. But these earbuds, sound really amazing! I am not someone who is nitpicky about sound in particular, I just don't want things to sound canned. These earbuds pass that test, and after witnessing them go from mono to stereo, I was sold. When you pair both to your phone, they go into stereo mode, which sounds fantastic! Then, if you take one out and put it back into its charging case, the one remaining in your ear automatically switches back to mono without skipping a beat. They may be only SLIGHTLY lower in sound quality compared to the Airpods, but for a $160 savings, I can handle the minor difference in sound, especially when they sound absolutely great on their own. Put simply, if I had never listened to music through the Airpods, I would never know there was anything better. These things just sound GREAT! Lastly, the battery life. 5/5 stars. This is perhaps the most controversial part of the review and really it depends on how often you use earbuds. I use one earbud at a time throughout the day while at the office. Each one will last about 3 hours before dying, at which point I put it in the charging case and pull out the other one and just keep on rocking. By the time that one dies, I pull out the one from earlier which is fully charged. If that's about how you would use these earbuds, then my friend they are the earbuds for you! The charging case gets about 9 or so charges out of it before it loses power, so charging that over night makes it a seamless product. One other note: these are NOT noise cancelling. Nor do they advertise to be. Of course, I don't see why people need noise cancelling for just average earbud use. The multiple different rubber plugs, though, do make for a good make shift, sorta noise cancelling solution. But if noise cancelling is a deal breaker for you, then you need to be looking to spend a lot more money. Overall, these earbuds are FANTASTIC! Especially considering the fact that they are only $40 after tax, its almost a no-brainer to buy these. When I showed them to my co-worker who paid $200 for his Airpods, I could see that he wished he had done a little more research and gone with these. He even listened and found the sound quality to be just fine and actually agreed with me that these are far more comfortable. Soundpeats does not disappoint. And their customer service since I have purchased these has been GREAT! I am very pleased with this decision.

I really like these earbuds. A lot. I have tried three different earbuds so far and these sound the best by far. That includes a Soundcore Liberty Neo+ and a $100 pair of Soundcore Liberty Air 2 earbuds. The sound is amazing for such small earbuds. Far better than any of the others I've tried. Bass is there and pleasant but not so deep as to muddle the middle and highs, which seem to be the case with the others. Very balanced. I didn't have to make any adjustment in the iPhone's equalizer to make these sound great nor use an app. The "soundstage" (where you perceive the instruments to be playing) is excellent. It doesn't at all sound like it's coming from one spot. These are very small and compact and do not stick out of your ear, so you don’t look like Frankenstein's monster. They fit comfortably in your ears. Pressing the multifunction button is pretty easy. You don’t have to jam it in your ear which can be uncomfortable. The function of the buttons could be improved but that seems to be the case for all of the sub $50 earbuds. No volume control, no Siri or other assistant. Just play/pause and next/previous track. Getting them out of the case is a bit tricky. Not enough of the bud sticks out in order to grab them. And since they are plastic, they are smooth and hard to grab. The Liberty Neo's are very easy to take out of the case. Particularly because they have a rubber sleeve, but also because they stick further out of the case so your finger tips can grab them. This for certain, is a small issue. The fit is quite good but this is where I have some issues. If you are using these just for listening to music you will love them. I bought these specifically for working out, but I find all the movement you do while working out will make the earbuds work their way out a bit. I find myself constantly pushing them back in (the left one specifically for me). Unfortunately this is an entirely subjective issue, everyone's ears are different and they may fit you perfectly. I still have to try all the different sizes of buds. Maybe one will fit better. Now, phone calls, ahem, are a different story. Don’t bother. They are awful for that. You can use them in a pinch but don't expect to have any sort of clear conversations with anyone. There is no kind of noise canceling at all. This is one area the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 shined. I've already retuned the Liberty Air 2. They cost too much money to not sound better than a sub $50 earbud. My biggest dilemma is that these sound far better than the Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo's but they don’t fit nearly as well. The Liberty Neo's have an excellent fit. They come with six different buds including three with a small wing on them which is one reason they fit better along with the fact that they have a rubberized sleeve. But the sound is way too bass-y and muddled. I love bass but not when it compromises the rest of the sound. In the end, I will probably keep these because they sound so good. What's the point of an earbud if they don’t sound good?

update: changed 3 stars to 5 stars My original review was a bit harsh. Honestly these are great. After a lot of months of use, they are very comfortable and the sound is good. They stay in my head while running. The best thing about them is how well the bluetooth works, it always pairs with my devices without me having to interfere and the individual earbuds always pair with each other. Sure, they are not perfect but we aren't paying for perfection at this price point. Still wish it had usb type c but maybe the next version will, and if it does I will buy one. Original review: They are easy to use, easy to pair with your phone or device. They sound decent, though the sound definitely lags if you are trying to watch a video. I had no issues using them and they are reasonably comfortable. The battery life is decent, but it definitely doesn't last 4 hours, probably closer to 3. For making calls, the microphone works well. The case is nice, if a little too thick to carry in-pocket all the time. I understand that earbuds at this price point cannot include wireless charging, and I forgive the omission of usb type-C. However, in the box and printed on the case, the case/battery can only safely charge with a 5V 1A micro-usb charger. This means you won't be able to use your brand new usb fast charger that you got with your new phone. You'll have to dig in your box of old cords and adapters to find a 1A usb adapter, which will subsequently hog an outlet and you won't use it for anything else. A feature that is really lacking is volume control on the earbuds. Even at this price point, volume control should be included. Another minor annoyance is the fact that the earbuds are not marked in any way left or right, so you can't quickly tell which one is which until you put the wrong one in your ear. I ended up using a bit of tape to mark the right earbud. Overall these have acceptable sound quality and are good value, but they lack a few features and thus I feel they deserve three stars.

Overall a good product. Sound is great for the price point and the battery life is more than enough for my use. I use them while running and mowing grass and they are secure in my ears - never had them fall out. The biggest and most annoying drawback it the charging case and/or ear bud contacts start acting up after a few months. They loose contact with the case constantly, which turns them on and automatically pairs them to my phone. This is annoying. It takes a lot of fussing around with them to sit on the charging case contacts correctly and then at the slightest bump or even with no bump at all often times they break contact and turn on. This isn’t an isolated issue with just my set. Between my wife and I we have had three sets and they have all developed this sooner or later - my wife returned her first pair because they were doing this as soon as she got them. I’ve tried cleaning up the contacts with some alcohol and cotton swabs with no luck. Seems to be a design issue.

These earbuds arrived swiftly and in well protected packaging. The box is elegant and ergonomic as you unbox the items. The contents include: user manual, micro USB to USB cable, 3 sets of various sized ear bud silicone tips, a charging/storage case, and a Left and Right earbud. The earbuds paired immediately to my phone upon removal from the charging case. All I did was make sure my phone's bluetooth was on. I selected the appropriate BT ID and done. It took maybe 5 seconds and after it was instant. The earbuds can be used individually (left or right) or together. The sound is crisp with stronger highs, mild mids, and decent base. The battery life is much better than most similar sets of earbuds ( I've owned 4 sets). In the event they run low (eventually) the case will charge them fully more than once. Very convenient. This means every time you open the case, the earbuds are at 100% battery life. There is 0 lag while streaming videos like youtube or netflix. While voice calls can be better, remember the low price. These are more for music than talking on the phone in my opinion. Nonetheless, phine calls can be conducted if the user speaks a bit louder than usual. So far I've worn them for about 3 hrs straight and they seem very comfortable. TIP: if you have fitment issues, diminished sound quality, or uncomfortable wear, try changing out the silicone tips to a different size. Maybe even diferent sizes on each if necessary like me. Overall, these ear buds exceed my expectations and I'd highly reccoment them to anyone who is tired of cables and is relatively active. I run with these and wear them at work. Bonus they work with any device that has bluetooth. DISCLAIMER: This is not a paid review. This is an honest assesment of a product I bought for my personal use.

UPDATE 26.Oct 2019 In all fairness and honesty to SoundPEATs ear buds I must edit this review. After a couple of hiccups we got them stereo paired, great news. He found the best fitting tips for his ears, which helped with sound quality. So far he has used them everyday and is happy with them! He said they aren't 5 star but for price & sound currently getting definitely 4+ stars. If you're looking for a pair of buds for a reasonable price, I would definitely consider SoundPEATs a contender. These were bought by a friend currently out of state, I was asked to try them out as they arrived at my address. Sound is good until it isn't. Here we go bear with me. They haven't worked in stereo from day one I've re-read manual to try to get them back in stereo mode, so far with no success. They have great reviews was one reason bought them & great price. However if they won't pair to stereo they aren't worth keeping. I'll talk to him & He will not be happy since he's not tech savvy at all he will not want them, but shouldn't if they don't work as described. Sadly, I feel there maybe a defect in the one that wont work in stereo, as when I tried them the very 1st time they were both working, briefly. The left side would play then stop playing while right bud still played. I followed instructions to re-pair both to stereo with same outcome at least 6+ times. Both worked for MAYBE 30 seconds then left bud would stop playing, especially if the slightest movement or touch left bud would cut out almost like a n electrical short. last time I didn't hear a sound from left bud. Maybe I'll give them one more try. Just unsure about these ear buds as they've been highly reviewed, but these haven't worked as described from day 1. They were ordered on 6 Aug. Then my buds arrived & I've been jamming with them. Different brand than his I'm currently reviewing as he's never even seen them yet He'll really not want to hear mine, that I caught on lightening deal a couple of days later by accident. they automatically pair with each other when taken out of the case. Stereo sound from mine is awesome....so far I've had no problems with my buds at all (don't want to jink it) Only problem I have is finding wireless buds that fit well, guess I have extra small ear canals.but the instructions for how to insert them in the ear helped & is genius of company to provide those details. but would love to find a set of wireless buds that looks but more discrete in my ears, so my ears don't look like the 'hunchback of Notre Dame' not a good look; so even with all their awesomeness they may get returned if I can find a smaller better fitting pair of buds. I really don't want wireless headset over the ears. Hoping he gets back to try his buds in time to return or replace because he will not have the patience to work with them, pairing & unpairing, believe he won't. Final note I totally believe all the great reviews for SoundPeat buds are true and we got a defective set. Crossing fingers the issue will be resolved but I think he needs to hear them & make the decision as he needs to be the one who will wear them & should know how to get them to work or replaced...so I don't get the 'can you?' or the help call ' my buds aren't working right'. Whatever happens he needs to know how to work them! SoundPeats have good reviews on all buds I've read, I don't want anyone to think I'm putting down SoundPeats in anyway. Sometimes you just get a defective item & I feel SoundPeat will deal with issues satisfactorily, at least thats.my hope...or Amazon will. Right now I feel stuck in the middle. I will update review as things get resolved one way or another. Noise cancellation is very good. Sometimes, need to remove the bud to feel what's going on around. Battery back up is good. Only issue noted is that the size is bit bigger, so chances of falling off from the ear while running or doing exercise. Recommended for use while attending meeting or listening to music with normal movement.

A good product with great sound quality. No ANC, but passive noise cancelling is good. Worth for this price. You can go for it if you are looking for a truly wireless buds at this price(4.5k).. The bass quality and mid treble balance of soundpeats is way better compared to other brand earphones when I personally tested(if you are bass lover).
