The Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is one of those rare skincare products that genuinely lives up to the hype, especially if you manage to get it at the reduced price which I did! The lightweight, almost water-like formula absorbs quickly and uses salicylic acid to penetrate deep into pores, helping to clear blackheads, reduce congestion, and visibly refine enlarged pores. Within just a few uses, my skin felt smoother and looked clearer, and with continued use I noticed a healthier, more even glow. It’s gentle enough to use regularly without harsh scrubbing, though there can be a slight tingle at first, so it’s best to introduce it gradually and always wear SPF during the day. Overall, it’s a highly effective exfoliant, especially for combination to oily skin, and a great addition to any routine looking to improve texture and clarity.

I’ve been using Paula’s Choice SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA for a few weeks and it’s honestly one of the best exfoliants I’ve tried. It helped reduce blackheads, smooth my skin texture, and made my pores look smaller without being too harsh. The formula feels lightweight and absorbs quickly, though I’d recommend starting slowly if you have sensitive skin. Definitely worth the hype and a great addition to any skincare routine.

I have post-menopausal skin, which, disappointingly, is still prone to breakouts, although not often. It prompted me to search out something that could help improve my skin’s texture, as well as deal with age-related hyperpigmentation and the occasional breakouts – a few big asks. I came across two Paula’s Choice products (the skin perfecting 2% liquid exfoliant, and the 10% azelaic acid booster) which had good reviews – I read many – and plenty of before/after evidence. I know you generally need to use products regularly before you can expect to see a visible difference but I’m already seeing a result after only a few days. You use both products on cleansed skin (I’ve been using Eucerin’s dermo-purifier oil control triple effect cleansing gel, which contains salicylic acid, it’s available from Boots). Consistency is key here and I’ve been using these two products morning and night. My skin is a lot smoother and is already visibly clearer, with the latest breakout is fading. I’m excited about how it will improve my skin longer term when used regularly. As I get older, I realise I’m going to have to take better care of my skin, and in a different way to when I was in my 20s. You can feel your skin tingling when the booster serum is applied, so if you have sensitive skin, maybe use less and be cautious until you see how it affects you personally. I’m really glad I found these products and will definitely continue to use them. Four stars only because it will prove quite expensive to use them all the time.

Had a breakout in what i think were hormonal cystic spots on cheeks and nose area and needed to find a solution Pic 1 - 3-4 weeks ago after using the below methods Pic 2 - straight after applying this and cream moisturiser Pic 3 - this morning So firstly i use a combination of products and do not use this product more than on weekends I have oily skin so products which dry my skin are more preference so this may not work for other skin types. First 1-2 weeks spots got slightly worse before improvement. Morning routine 1. Cleanser - arencia green rice mochi 2. Cereve - blemish control gel 3. The ordinary niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% 4. The ordinary natural moisturiser + Ha Night routine 1. Cleanser - arencia green rice mochi 2. The ordinary salicylic acid 2% 3. Murad - deep relief blemish treatment 4. The ordinary natural moisturiser + Ha Weekends i swap out one morning or evening routine to use this product 1. Now i know salt is not great but my spots seem to be more under the skin so i raise them up using a handful of westlab epsom salts on a cloth and scrub direct on face (other method is add a cup to a bath) - whilst research says there is no medical info for epsom salts helping cystic spots on face - epsom salts are actually found as a medical recommendation for trying to get rid of gynocological cysts etc This is drying so it is likely not recommended if dry skin and i do not do more than once a week and i expect spots to look worse when they are bought to surface 2. Anua rice enzyme brightening cleansing powder - i build up like a mask then add water to scrub in and wash off with a cloth (this product can be a bit messy) 3. Paulas choice 2% bha liquid exfoliant 4. The ordinary natural moisturiser + Ha Now as i only add this into the routine twice a week i am not worried by bottle size - will likely last me another 2-3 months on the smaller one - same with the murad small bottle for price The ordinary serums and lotions are significantly cheaper and will last for another 2-3 months at least too I do not know which products are helping the most for skin but this one is definately one i will keep in my routine for weekends and see it still value for money if used with some other products.

Buy it. You won't be disappointed! When it arrived, I was shocked at the size 🤣 but only a few drops are needed on a cotton pad. Wipe over a clean face (I did this at night time) and let it work it's magic. This morning, my skin has improved so much already!! My fine lines on my forehead aren't as bad as they were, complexion is much brighter and my skin doesn't look dull anymore (I use retinol, but it doesn't help with this), and the spots on my chin are clearing up already! Can't believe it. That was after one application. Forever a customer to this amazing brand. I've never had a product work so quick!

I’m so happy with the results from using this, i thought I’d buy the smaller one to try it out before I paid extra for the bigger one however I paired this with another exfoliated ever other day and my skin looks and feels 1000x better, I wouldn’t recommend using this and going in the sun for too long as it’s easier to damage your skin ( learnt that the hard way lol) overall it’s a really good product and definitely worth the money

Le produit est vraiment très efficace ! Ma peau est beaucoup plus lisse, les imperfections diminuent et le teint est plus net. Un seul petit bémol : le design du bouchon n'est pas très pratique. Il manque de fluidité, ce qui rend l'extraction du liquide un peu laborieuse. J'espère que ce point sera amélioré dans les prochaines versions. Sinon, l'efficacité est au rendez-vous, je recommande

I didn’t try it yet this rating is for the size of the bottle compared to the price i paid! I usually get this 30 ml as gifts from beauty shops, I didn’t notice the ml when i decided to buy it and didn’t even think that it would be a sample size with this price

La verdad que es un producto bastante bueno. Es recomendable usarlo con moderación, no es para diario. Mi experiencia es bastante positiva. De hecho, ya lo había comprado con anterioridad. Muy fácil de aplicar y dura bastante porque es muy poquito lo que hay que usar. De todas formas me sigue resultando algo caro comparando la cantidad de producto y el resultado, el cual, aunque es bueno, me resulta caro y por supuesto no tiene los resultados de una exfoliación profesional
