Alpha Skin Care Revitalizing Body Lotion with 12% Glycolic AHA, 12 Ounce

Love love love this lotion! First of all, there are several similar products on the market and it is the most reasonably priced even though the concentration of AHA is not the highest I have found. Other products are way more expensive and contain less amount of product compared to this one. The AHA concentration in this one is also higher than some of other products on market. I love it for the price, the size, and the good AHA concentration. Additionally, it really helps with the bumps on my arms and legs, which is the main reason I bought this. Using it reduces the amount of KP I have so I am enjoying this product. It absorbs quite well into the skin and is not sticky. However, I am one of those people who literally use up lotion so quickly like I bath in it. So far, I have used it for a few times and I can see the amount going down quickly. Maybe it's just me. Therefore, I use an oil mixed with the lotion to save some money and also make it glide easier on my skin. The lotion is unscented but if there is, I would say there is a tiny tiny little smell of yogurt. I am not sure if combining this lotion with oil like I did altered the smell or not. I still think it is unscented. Sometimes, I just think of yogurt when I bring my nose close to my skin I don't know why lol. Did I mention how much I love it for making my skin so smooth? Please come out with a bigger size because I need this in my life (with flaky dry skin) and provides a pump with the product. It is hard to keep squeezing the bottle while my hands are slippery. My bottle looks pretty ugly now from all the squeezing.

I have been having serious skin problems for about 2 years now. I have acne, scarring, and my skin has rough spots. I have tried so many different remedies to try and correct the problem, but nothing seems to help and it just gets worse. I was getting really depressed about my skin. So I decided to give this lotion a try since it had some good reviews, and frankly I felt like I had nothing else to lose at this point. I kid you not, after one use I already felt that my skin was smoother. After a few more uses there was definitely a difference in texture and it had cleared up some of my acne. I have been using it for 6 days now, and I'm in love!! My skin is doing a lot better and I think my scars are lightening up. I am going to continue using it and hopefully update this review with even more good news about my results. There were a few reviews that I read about this lotion being really strong and burning their skin. Personally I feel like it has a bit of a medicated feel to it, where you can sort of feel it working. The first time I applied it to my legs, it was after shaving. It felt tingly sort of like when you go into the ocean to soon after shaving and the salt water tingles your skin. It wasnt painful though. And I actually didn't get razor bumps or anything like I usually do after using this. I think this lotion just might be my saving grace!

I've only been using this lotion for about a week now and I did break out which means basically my face became very flaky. My face and it burn and it is scared. I am told to give it at least three weeks to clear up everything it is fake it's not greasy and it absorbs into my skin very well very well moisturizing.

I use this brand (Alpha Hydrox) facial lotion regularly for body acne and thought I'd try this because it works out slightly less expensive and is specifically formulated for body use. While I believe it is equally effective as the face lotion, I don't like the feeling it leaves on my skin. While the face lotion dries quickly and has a soft smooth feel on the skin, the body lotion doesn't dry easily and sticks to my clothes. I prefer using the facial lotion on my body, despite the slightly higher cost.

I don't normally write reviews, but I think that it's important to write reviews on acne medicine products because I have wasted so much time and money trying to clear my skin on my body and everything came up short. I kept googling different products and I read somewhere to use 10% benzoyl peroxide body wash and 10% AHA to clear it, so I went on Amazon and I bought the 10% benzoyl peroxide body wash and saw that this lotion was 12%, so I bought this one. I decided to buy it in lotion form because I know that benzoyl peroxide dries out the skin at first. A family member of mine was an esthetician, and she used to do facial treatments on my back and I have tried so many things for so many years. Tanning would usually help, but I don't have time to tan and I don't want to do it so often and ruin my skin. I'm not sure which product helped the most, but I liked using them together because I feel like my possible dry skin was offset by this lotion. My acne was pretty bad, mostly on my upper back, chest, and some lower, but it is not severe. I'd say it's been about 2 or 3 weeks, and my skin has improved drastically. There are still some break outs here and there occasionally, and I'm just hoping that it is not because it's a new product and that my skin will get used to it and start to acne up again. I would wash only my back and chest with the body wash with an exfoliating loofah and then apply the lotion after the shower once a day. I'd say it took about a week to see results, but it's important not to pick your skin and irritate the acne further, otherwise the treatment might not work as well and you might have scarring!

Love the lotion, hate the bottle. Impossible to get lotion out, needs pump, will not buy again until it comes with a pump!

I did not regret my purchase, however I won't but it again and here's why: 1) It isn't light, and doesn't absorb in the skin, AT ALL which as a result it comes right back off when your body rubs against other things eg your clothes, couch etc. 2) If You're an avid lotion user, this isn't for you. Mine lasted for 2weeks - almost. I lotion once, mostly twice a day. I'm was a bit disappointed because: 3) The quantity doesn't add up to the price, and the quality is average; In my opinion, It's not worth $22.50. 4) I see a difference in my skin appearance especially my hands and feet, as well as around the joint areas. On a positive note: I favor this brand when it comes to exfoliating, moisturizing and toning of the skin. I still am using their Foaming Face Wash, Intensive Serum (weak), and Oil-Free Formula (My favorite). :-) EDIT: I said I wouldn't buy it again but I lied. It growing on me now after my last bottle. Plus I hoping it will help clear up my Tinea Vericolor!
