This might sound crazy but I purchased this hairspray & can't figure out how to use it for the first time. Does the top twist/unlock in some way?

It is very hard to get to work the 1st time. Someone at the salon showed me the trick. Push the spray nozzle (on the side away from the sprayer) hard into the counter or wall -you will hear a click and hear it release. Your done. Now it is just like any sprayer.

what makes this hairspray so expensive ?

They sell it at higher end salons and department stores. But….. I love it because it leaves my hair with a flexible hold and it’s not sticky at all. Plus I love the smell.

How to open superfine fixit hairspray?

Hard to do and when open , it frequently doesn’t spray. Big design flaw

Smells bad. Doesn't work.

Beware! You cannot return this item if you don't like it! It only held my curls for about 15 - 20 minutes. It also smells like old lady perfume. I'm shocked there's so many good reviews for this product.

Great hairspray, bad spray button

I love the spray that doesn't leave a sticky hold. First time ordering this from Amazon and the spray button was almost impossible to use. I needed two hands to depress it. Why are Amazon items often inferior quality???
