how much weight can it hold?

I have six of these turntables in my pantry. All with various weights. The ones with heavier weight take a little more effort to turn but no big deal. It still works great! I have two layers of canned items (pinto beans, soups, etc.) on one. I have all my vinegars (in glass bottles) and oils on another. The turntables with lighter items I can turn with one finger and it keeps on spinning.

is this turning well?

Yes, it turns very well. I have no complaints.

What Is It Made Out Of?

White Plastic. I'm sure the bearings part, which is concealed, is not plastic.
