I purchased these to ship cooked & frozen dressing to my husband's family this Christmas since we couldn't all be together and everyone craves the family's favourite cornbread dressing recipe during the holidays! I added ice bricks (also purchased on Amazon) and used a large flat-rate, priority mailbox. The cooler fits perfectly in the large flat rate. The dressing arrived unscathed even though it took 3 instead of 2 days. They are a little pricey, but it's worthwhile for a once-a-year treat.

Durable, very sturdy, great price.
These Chill Containers really work. I used to ship frozen food overnight. I checked with the recipient to verify that the contents were still frozen and sure enough the items were still frozen. Fits perfect in the usps large flat rate box. Very reliable.

Purchased for vacation.
Ultimately, they worked out for us as intended. We packed a variety of frozen meats to take with us on a vacation to an island. Everything arrived frozen solid. We packed them in the morning at around 4 a.m. and arrived on the island that same evening at around 5 p.m. We froze the meat and purchased ice blankets (on Amazon) that can be frozen and cut into smaller pieces, to place on and around the food inside of the containers. You have to be careful. They will crack easily if you aren’t careful not to leave everything under the top edge where the lid sits down on the base. You want to be sure to leave some space all the way around the top, for the lid to sit down without pushing down on something and cracking. We packed them in the luggage using air packing pillows around all sides and bunched up newspapers. There wasn’t any breakage of the containers. Be sure to pack them carefully and you shouldn’t have any issues.
