Life changer
This was exactly what I needed and wanted. The exercise routines are challenging, but totally doable and only 30 minutes, including warm up and cook downs. The food guide tells you how many portions of each food group you should be eating a day and what foods are in each group (Big surprise for me: beans count as a carb, not a protein. That alone probably dropped me 5lbs). The containers make portioning easy and the guide has conversions for food that don't fit neatly in containers.I've been doing the program for 5 months and have lost 15 lbs. I'm 5'6" and weighed 144lbs at the start and now weigh 129. The weight steadily comes off, as if by magic, even though I know I'm putting work into it. But after 5 months, it feels effortless because it's such a part of my daily routine, and, at this point, I do not follow the program strictly. I may miss a day of exercise or have an extra serving of a carb or some cheese. But if you keep yourself in check 80% of the time, you'll be successful at maintaining results. The program is not rocket science. It's what we all should be doing: exercising and eating healthy, balanced meals-- Everything in moderation. However, it does take commitment and planning. You will exercise for 30 minutes every day and you will have to plan and prep some of your food in advance to help yourself stay on track. It is worth it. You will feel stronger and healthier within a few days. My clothes fit better after the first week.I found the first 2-3 days a little overwhelming as I wrapped my head around how many portions of each food group I get a day and how to divide that among meals and snacks. Once you get into a routine for yourself, it'll become much easier, so stick with it.You do a different exercise routine each day, so it takes a lot longer to get bored with the routines than other programs. I now alternate one week of regular 21 Day Fix with one week of 21 Day Fix Extreme, so I'm only doing each workout once every two weeks. That keeps it interesting. The videos are basically 4 rounds of 2 exercises each. You repeat each round and get 10-20 second breaks in between. There are modifications, and Autumn is good about showing proper form and explains what muscle group each exercise is working. I like her style. She's firm but encouraging. For food, there are a bunch of blogs and Facebook groups dedicated to the program that have recipes and tips. Adventures of a Shrinking Princess and Forks to Fitness come to mind. There are also apps to help you track your daily containers. This is helpful at first, but it will eventually become second nature.Food, in a nutshell, is about eating clean, whole foods. No processed foods, no caffeine, no alcohol... There are treat substitutions if you really need dessert or a drink. Personally, life is too short to not have a glass of wine, so I had wine in addition to all of my food, and I still saw great results.Make yourself and your health a priority and give this one a try. I never thought I could be this enthusiastic about a diet and exercise program, but I'm a convert. It's been wonderful to actually see results and achieve my fitness goals. This is the first time I ever stuck with a program and got actual before and after proof, like they do on TV. Good luck!

Fun, do-able workout......not easy but you can push through for 30 min a day!
This is the first exercise program I have stuck with and had good results. My started this on 3-14, my husband started a week later. We did not follow everything exactly as specified. I tried to follow the food plan but it was more food than I could really eat each day. We did do the 30 min exercise every day. Week 3 you are supposed to do 2 per day, we did not. Easter fell during the 21 days and we had out of town guests, so lots of touring the city (DC) and eating out. We did walk 5-8 miles per day seeing all the sites so sort of justified some of the extra food/drinks.In spite of all of that, we have continued doing the 30 min a day now for nearly 5 weeks. I have only lost 6 # but muscle does weigh more than fat. I have gained strength and toned up. I measured when I started and then again this morning. I have lost 4.5 inches in my waist alone. 11 inches overall, hips, etc. Legs and arms real have not changed size wise but are better toned than they were. The first week I was very sore, out of shape, I tried to follow Autumn but had to modify most of the exercises. The second week I was able to do most everything without modifying, except for cardio, too much jumping, hard on my knees.the third week and beyond it gets easier but you can up the weights and push yourself further to continue to challenge yourselfDay 1 Total Body def works the whole bodyDay 2 Upper BodyDay 3 Lower BodyDay 4 Pilates recovery dayDay 5 Cardio toughest one for me, my least favoriteDay 6 Dirty 30 another total body workoutDay 7 Yoga recovery day ( my cat likes to stretch with me on yoga day)i like that there is something different everyday. I guess I had the hardest time with learning the yoga since I had never done it. If you are unfamiliar with the poses like me you should watch first then do it. It is impossible to do most of the poses and see the tv at the same time since your head is down a lot.I really enjoy all the exercises except for cardio, it is okay but I do have to follow Kat and do the modifications on the exercises that require jumping. I am 52 yr old, 145# , 5'3" my knees just can't take the jolting. We are going to continue doing this program. We feel so much better, more energized when we get up and work out first thing in the morning. The fact that our clothes are not quite as snug anymore is a definitely a plus!I have tried quite a few other programs and ended up quitting because most run 45-60 minutes, had more exercises that were hard on my knees. I like that you get a good varied workout in only 30 min with this one. If you want to work out longer and have the time you can always do 2 a day or more but this works perfect for us.

Absolutely love this product
Absolutely love this product! My wife and I have incorporated it into our diet and fitness lifestyle, and as a result, I have lost 50 lbs and my wife has lost 15 lbs. Both of us were on hypertension meds (me for 2 years, my wife for 6) and both of us have been taken off those meds by our doctor. My only critique is that this program focuses on the "21 days", with repeat references to having the body you always wanted...in 21 days. My advise: look beyond the hype and products they try to sell, and instead simply use the containers as a way to learn proper portion control, the foods she suggests to teach you how to eat the RIGHT foods, and the workouts to become healthy. It will take longer than 21 days, but you can have the body of your dreams! (We have been doing the system for over 1 year now).

Effective program but poor value for money
I bought this back in 2014, and it's long overdue for my review. When considering whether to buy this or not, I was pretty unhappy with the Canadian price - it's a LOT more expensive than in the US, even with currency exchange and taxes factored in. However, I decided that I was going to make the purchase from a Canadian source, and I shelled out $113 for the kit.I did most of the program (didn't do all the exercise stuff) back in 2014, and it does work. I lost 12 pounds at the time. However, having paid $113, I cringed and felt kind of duped when I opened the kit box and found one DVD, a bunch of pamphlets and one small eating plan booklet, a drink mixing cup (which advertises a weight loss shake they also want to sell us) and, at the heart of the kit, some small plastic portion control containers. It didn't feel at all like value for money, even if the kit brings good health results. The diet portion of the program is based on portion control and eating a particular mix of foods, and the plastic portion control containers are the tool for this. Before I actually ordered the kit, I scoured the web for other options to avoid having to shell out $113: could I buy the portion control containers elsewhere, and just do my own diet? I couldn't find any comparable product on the web to allow me to do that back in 2014; however, they do exist now.My beef with the 21 Day Fix kit sold in Canada is its price. I see that the price has come down a bit since I bought it, but not enough, in my view, to give consumers like me the feeling that we're getting good value for money.

Great tool for losing weight by portioning food
This set really gives you an easy way to determine food portion control. It's introduced a new way of eating to my wife and I and together we've already shed weight. Admittedly the exercise is really hard. After two days, neither of us could sleep or move comfortably due to muscle pain. However like I said, the meal portion ingredients is what I think is the key and has helped us tremendously. I gave 5 stars instead of 4 because the exercises are really difficult, even by following the trainer with the modified exercises.

30 minutes is perfect! It really works!
Love the 21 day Fix! I have been using it since December 2015. I started by just using the containers and not even doing the work outs. If you follow the containers on its own you will loose weight. It was amazing! I had done Insanity before and it is very intense and found the workouts a little long at 45-60 minutes each. So I wanted to try a workout that was 30 minutes.Once i started the workouts for 21 day Fix in July 2016 ( yes I left the DVD's sitting there that long!) I really liked them. Autumn is motivating and everyone working out with her is actually enjoying it and so will you be. They are easy enough that you won't think they are too hard to do, but it still pushes you with the exercises with the hand help weights to work multiple muscle groups at a time which is a bonus. Even my husband who goes to the gym says her exercises combines with the hand held weights are pretty good. I like all the exercises except the yoga one so i skip that one. Yoga is not for me and I find she goes really fast on that one. If you like yoga then you'll probably like it though. I sometimes combine it sometimes with Turbo Jam or Les Mills Combat if I feel like I have energy to spare. Otherwise 30 minutes is perfect then you can get on with your day. I would recommend this to anyone looking to loose weight and get toned. It really works and is enjoyable to do. Combine with the containers and you have a winning combination. If you have tried other Beachbody products give Autumn a try! You'll be happy you did!

Faulty DVD pricey workout tape
Item shipped quickly. Containers are much smaller than they appear. Tape #1 will not work in my dvd player only in my computer which is disappointing but workable. Workout tapes are excellent, very challenging but choreography is doable and the interval type exercise certainly makes it possible to get through the workouts. I do appreciate that there are different people on the tapes offering different levels of difficulty. One complaint is that she is constantly pushing her other products and this gets quite tiresome. Not the best pilates or yoga workout I have ever done but I feel those are not her strong points. While I really like the workouts to buy this just for that makes for very expensive exercise.
