SKIL 5.5A 3/8" Corded Drill-6239-01

I needed a new or extra drill for my 2nd home. This is a nice drill for the usual home projects. The keyless chuck works well. Variable speed and reversible make it very handy. The price the right.

My Husband loves corded drills better than cordless because he says that the power is much better. Purchased this online, as the reviews were great and the price was even better. He says it’s extremely powerful, works amazing, and it’s his favorite purchase yet would definitely buy again

Drill works as it should. I never have had issues with SKIL products and this drill did the job I needed it to do with flying colors. The drill itself is pretty powerful and will work for most use cases. My only complaint, and the reason for the one star deduction, is the variable speed trigger. The lower speed end of the trigger is nearly non-existent to the point where it feels like the modes are off, on and turbo. So should you get this drill? I say yes. It feels very well put together and for the price, an excellent value.

I have been framing a room in my house in detail, and cannot get over how well this drill stands-up to the work I have been completing. I originally placed the order for this driller solely for the lower price in comparison to the other drills listed on-line. I never expected it to perform at such a high-level of consistency. Growing up my father always used the SKIL brand of power tools too. Buy it. You'll be pleasantly surprised, and save a few dollars too!

Just started using this drill but bought it because my last Skil corded electric drill lasted 30 years. It is easy to use, powerful, and price was less than $40.

I've got a bunch of drills, from small to heavy duty, from corded to battery powered, and this is one of the best. It has enough power for most jobs. I mostly use it for drilling holes in wood and metal, but I've also used it for grinding and shaping, as well as driving screws. It is a nice, versatile drill which seems to be well built and durable.

Not a regular user of drilling but this one works ok. Very difficult to control speed though and had to replace drill bits. Also align bits in drill chuck is difficult. This was inexpensive tool.

Very good quality lots of power, nice long cord. Has a bit of weight but not over heavy and nice to handle. Hubby is very happy!

Me gustó su potencia, pese a su tamaño más pequeño es igual de potente que un taladro convencional pero bastante más manejable debido a su mango en la parte media del taladro, por lo que reduce la fatiga en su uso sobre todo periodos largos de trabajo. Se tiene un mejor manejo/presición en el uso de este tipo de taladros. Las gomitas laterales para evitar que resbale en la mesa de trabajo es un plus.

Good quality low cost drill. Good torque and speed. No trigger lock on this model, though.

Very well made with lots of power. The level is a great bonus!
