HELLA 005860891 450 Driving LAMP KIT (Clear Lens) H3 12V SAE/ECE

I installed the Hella 450 kit on my Toyota truck because I wanted more light than the stock headlamps produced. I was amazed at how much more light was produced compared to the PIAA lights(12v 55W)I put on another truck. The wiring harness was not like the one pictured, but I didn't care because I had more freedom with where I ran the wires. Some knowledge of electrical systems was helpful as the instructions are somewhat lacking. I would suggest testing your work with a voltmeter as you go to prevent errors; the instructions aren't the best. Installation (professional looking)took about 3 1/5 hours. All of this is worth the trouble because the end result is the ability to see far ahead on very dark nights for a reasonable price. Even though the case is ABS, the complete system seems very sturdy. The lenses are better quality than others in the same price range. Great product!

I do quite a bit of night time country road driving, I bought and installed these to supplement my supposed bright bright lights on my van so I can see deer and other random critters wandering the road at night since the new fangled plastic headlights they put on vehicles now days barely qualify as headlights let alone being able to see far down the road. These replaced a $20 driving lights kit that I bought from Wally World, after putting more than $60 worth of new bulbs in them because water would get in the fixture and blow the bulb, I decided to buy a real driving light kit, a decision I am glad I did. These lights are well engineered and they shine down the road great, I can see reflections back from road signs that are upwards of a mile down the road, and have spotted many deer and racoons, etc. No more moisture problem getting in and killing bulbs either, I've only had to replace one bulb in a year which is a pleasant change from having to change a bulb several times between oil changes.

Great product, fast shipping, no problem. Will say the speaker wire included is a thin as a piece of thread! Did not use it.

I bought these to install on an early 3rd gen 4runner. Pros: Glass lens Bright light Comes with relay, plenty of wiring, a switch, and necessary connections Cons: -The provided relay feels like a cheap serial box toy, no doubt Hella ordered the cheapest thing they could find on digikey. The PIAA one I had was much nicer, this one has a plastic screw hole that feels like it is gonna crack at some point -The mounting instructions are crap, Hella put the absolute minimum to get you started. Had to make extensive use of what few youtube videos existed on similar products -In most cases you'll need other supplies, I recommend having butt connectors, extra wiring, ring terminals, wire loom tubing, electrical tape -More than likely you'll have to make a metal mounting bracket -The bracket is very particular, especially trying to get it to stay in adjustment takes some trial and error, especially if you have a home made bracket like I do I mounted these on my 4runner using the holes already on the bumper. If your mounting them flush on this suv you have to cut the plastic valence to make room, and even then its a very tight fit. You need to make a custom bracket. I used some ~.04" steel bracketing that I had from an old storage shelf, worked well because it already had the holes drilled out. Also at this point do something that I didn't, the fog light lens have hella written on them, sense we are mounting these upside down the Hella logo will be upside down as well. So while you have access to the screw holes flip the lens around so that the hella logo will be right side up when you mount the in their final position (you wont have easy access once they are mounted). My last complaint is about the seller. The photos they use are confusing sense they show TWO DIFFERENT products. The main photo shows the wiring kit along with the harness, notice how the glass lens on it is a Fresnel lens. Now if you look at the 3rd photo you will see another light, this with a more clear lens without a Fresnel design. The main photo is of the FOG LIGHTS (not this product), the 3rd photo actually shows what the lens will actually look like (it is a driving light lens). If you still don't understand why this is a big deal look at myhella website and look at the 450 series. The fog light and the driving light have completely different lens. This is a driving light not a fog light lens.

In most cases in life, you get what you pay for. With the Hella brand, 450 or 550 lights, it seems like you’re getting a lot more for the dollar.

Easy to install didn't use the cable that came with it, have it installed in the previous wiring in my truck. Works really great and bright 👍

Love the lamps and comes with relay and wire harness. My set came fast but when I opened box both lamps were in sealed bags. My bags were torn open upon arrival. I don't mind since everything seems to be there but I haven't installed yet. Just wish it was all bagged and new not a resale item.

Bought these lamps and planned to install in May 2019 but needed to overhaul engine instead. Did attempt to install until Jan 2020 and return widow was only a month. I found that the spade terminal on the lamp , for connecting one of the wires, was missing.THIS PART OF THE LAMP. Not to mention the instructions are not the best and decided to wire based on my previous years of experience rebuilding cars These lamps could be of good but quality control is not.

Bought this as a kit, lights and wiring do not have connectors so be ready to spend a lot of time prepping for installation.

I couldn’t mount the lights as the brackets are quite short. They don’t work for my application as the bumper is sloped down and I can’t adjust the lights up because the bottom touches the mounting bolts.
