Sea Horse 1 HP Pump

We are using the 1 HP Sea Horse pump in our pond. It was easy to install and it works great.

Purchased for my 5000 gallon Koi pond filtration system. For the money this is the best, most efficient, reliable pond/koi pond pump on tje market. I have other Pentair pool pumps on my property and I have been very pleased with their operation and efficiency. This is a must for the serious koi or pond hobbyist !

I bought a 3/4 HP Sea Horse model in Aug 2018 (apparently Amazon no longer carries the 3/4 HP unit). Used this pump for a waterfall feature. Worked OK the first year, in second year, flow decreased. I isolated and tested the pump and found it was pumping only 5 GPM at 3 feet of head (should be 10 times that amount). Not sure what caused the problem; pump was used only during summers and stored indoors during the winter. An email to the company was not answered. Review by Mr. Fitz

You have to install your own power source. Basically, this comes with an electricians bill. I would stay clear of this product unless you are an electrician.
