A simple to use good quality tape for book binding. It is a self-adhesive fabric, painted brown in my case. Made in the USA. It is thick but easy to cut or tear by hand. Because it is fabric, it splits easily by hand to any width. 2 inches is a good width for many books. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Crystal clear, it obscures nothing. I have used it to: attach book covers that have separated from sewn bindings; secure loose pages within books; and to bind covers torn from books. Made in America, if that matters to you. Works equally well on paperbacks and hardbacks. The tape is NOT easy to tear; a pair of small scissors nearby is helpful. Alas, on larger projects, another pair of hands is necessary, so evaluate carefully before you start. Only time will tell if the tape discolors with age.

I've never really tried to repair book bindings before. This tape seems to adhere well to worn bindings. I guess that's all it is required to do.

Works great for binding homemade books or journals

The Bible is very old and well used. I am more interested in using the book than it looking pretty. The tape was just recently put on the Bible so we'll see how it holds. It seems to be sturdy and tight and it's well rated so I expect the best from it.

i had a cook book from my mother with alot of memories with a gazillion old recipes i grew up with that was falling apart. a hard cover and it was all split and old fixes were falling off. this tape just adherred immediately and now its completely usable. my wife said. "who knew you could buy that?" well im cookin with the book again. many colors and wide size.

We have a fairly extensive in-home library with books dating back to our great grandparents. As we were cataloging our library, we noticed several books with tears. This tape is perfect for book covers and for some specific book binding projects. The adhesive is strong, so it’s best suited for the cover rather than the text block. It looks great and is very easy to use. I reached out to the company through their website with specific questions about the adhesive (its pH, durability in humidity and heat, etc.), and their customer service was excellent—thorough, friendly, and informative. Their response gave me full confidence to purchase more of their products. While only time will tell how it holds up, I’m confident about this tape and would highly recommend it based on my experience so far!

I loved this tape for repair of a spine of a vintage book cover that completely came off. You can still see through tape to read spine. No yellowing, thick, and stays put. Great alternative if you can’t afford to repair otherwise.
