I'd like to stick this on the inside of my clear case instead of to the phone. What color is it on the adhesive side?

Not sure. About 1 1/2” square

I am not sure. One inch or a little larger.

Can it be attached to the back of the phone?

There is paper instructions that recommended where the metal plate should be placed. It recommends against sticking it directly onto the back of the phone. It prefers the metal plate be stuck to either the inside or outside of a phone case. This is just what I can vaguely remember from several weeks ago, I don't have the instructions with me anymore.
