We had an older DVR installed by our security company. The motherboard gave out, and the replacement was very expensive. We’d heard good things about this DVR, and figured for the price it’s worth a shot. After installing our hard drive, it hooked up and set up was very easy. It only took a few minutes for set up, app download and learning how to use it. The cameras pull up almost immediately in the app, it’s a clear picture, and it even takes individual pictures of people’s faces, cars driving by, or anything relevant captured on the camera. In all, it works better than our much more expensive older model DVR. GREAT purchase!

You no longer have to worry about being locked out of your security system due to a forgotten password, as there are various methods available for password recovery. defiantly worth the cost i highly recommend

Set up was okay. I kind of winged it in the beginning. I got my cameras were displaying correctly on the DVR. My problem was connecting to my cell phone. Until I reached out to Tech Support. They were answering all of my questions and even emailed their DVR manual which help. I now have my DVR running and connected to my cell phone. However, after one month everything went haywire. Night vision display's went away and during the day time only 4 of my 7 cameras would display. I sent email to tech support. They sent email back asking me "do you use a centralized power system for the DVR?" I told them all of my appliances I have uses the same power system and they all work. After all I live in a large city. They have not returned my email or anything else. Pass the 30 day return policy so I've decided to pull the plug and place this DVR in the trash and buy a different one some where else. I'm not saying not to buy this it should be up to you. As they say "buyer be ware" This is what I get for buying electronics from China. After I wrote this review they sent email telling me I have a camera problem and their DVR fault. However, they couldn't answer why cameras and DVR worked fine in the beginning and did for over a month. Besides cameras just display what it see. No software in those cameras and they are wired no Wi-Fi which its the DVR that should show what the cameras are seeing. To make sure I ask a friend of mine who installs outside cameras and he laugh at me and said cameras are not the problem the DVR is the problem.

the unit works well so far I like the fact its nvr and dvr . Nvr only allows only 2 ip cameras in hybrid mode . would like it to be more customable . Preset camera views would like that to be customable also. The quality of the pictures are good. There are no instructions so you will need some savvy on how to set it up. Not my first dvr so no problem for me. What I really dislike about this it wants email and other info I don't want to give it . Took awhile to figure workaround.

Horrible instructions, took a long time to set up, definitely "not" plug and play; the image of monitor went blank after 3 days - going to switch monitors to see if monitor just went out (it was a used monitor) or if unit failed.

Pretty easy set up, if you use your magnifying glass and read the instructions closely. I'm not tech savvy, so it required trial and error and reading the directions a few times.

I recently purchased one of these and it stopped recording and now I get a permanent message that there is no drive to record to. I replaced the hard drive twice and still it won’t work. Had it checked and no power to the drive cable for some reason.

I received the DVR sooner then expected. Once received, I open the box and connected it to the camera system. Once I powered the DVR the system walked me through the setup process and automatically found the cameras which was great. it also located and identified the gates for the internet. I did have some of the camera pictures in black and white instead of color. I went into the control panel and change the setting for the type of cameras I have to (CVI). that fix the color issue. Great DVR I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to replace their DVR like I did or just starting out. I have not had to use the customer service yet, however, I know they will be there if/when I need help.

Very simple to set up and great communication from the seller from start to finish, worked straight out the box one of the best cctv boxes I’ve bought.

i wanted a vhs tape machine to play old tapes .The add said lots of types one was VHS it felt light and small looking at the rear it had 16 inputs for cameras no use for me I misunderstood the add thank you

Doesn't come with a HDD but I formatted one as FAT32 and installed it easily, when I started this dvr up it formatted it. Overall I found this machine easy to work with and actually pretty much plug and play. It feels cheap - just a box with electronics in it, but its connections are solid and I had no trouble getting it going even with very little background and setting up this sort of system for the first time. So I'm quite happy with it. Arrived in 2 days with free shipping.

Terrible didnt even work

so far so good. This unit and brand I have bought the 4th time. easy to setup and work very well, unfortunately doesn't last very long. The last one I bought it not work after 2 years.
