I bought this worrying it might not be strong enough signal but was happy to be proved wrong! No need for fancier more expensive models, this does a perfect job repeating the signal to get a good signal through thick walls. Easy to to set up and use, small and discreet.

Brilliant! I read the reviews of so many WiFi booster and extenders and decided to go with this one. Very easy to install with the app and has worked perfectly since. Had no internet drop outs at the far ends of the house since installing it and the signal even reaches out into the conservatory now even though it is plugged in upstairs. Would recommend.

Excellent WiFi extender from TP-Link. This is a self contained WiFi repeater/extender that works flawlessly. It's my first piece of TP-Link network gear and after a little research, this seemed to be one of the items I kept coming back to. It's a plain white box with 4 LED indicators along the bottom showing power, link status and which of the WiFi signals is currently connected and being forwarded from this device ( 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz ) After reading the large instruction sheet, it seemed pretty straighforward and it was. I opted to use the Android app. called ' Tether '. After creating a Login & Password, it's as easy as following the on-screen prompts on your phone. As long as you have the router password and know the SSID you're golden. I was up and running with a phone and a tablet out in the back garden, a long way from the router wifi source with a decently strong signal. It's way stronger and faster than the previous Netgear repeater, by no less than six times faster and a full strong signal strength. I've been using it all afternoon since setting it up and have no issues at all. It is very unobtrusive and has no external antenna like the outgoing Netgear model which is a big plus, it's very lightweight and runs fairly cool. There's a little heat when under load, but barely noticeable and nothing to be concerned with. The LEDs are plain warm white when all is working well, and may change to red if there's an issue. It appears to be a fit and forget device which I appreciate. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with my first TP-Link device and really is great value for money.

The TP-Link RE300 is a decent WiFi extender that does improve coverage in weaker areas of the house, but my experience has been mixed overall. Setup was fairly straightforward, and when it is working properly, the extra range is noticeable for everyday browsing and streaming. However, I’ve had recurring connectivity issues, including occasional dropouts, slower speeds at times, and trouble reconnecting smoothly after brief interruptions. Because it helps in some situations but isn’t consistently reliable, I’d give it 3 stars rather than a higher rating.

Very slow, doesn't work as suggested. With line of sight to the router, a distance of less than 6 metres and a confirmed 900+mbps speed test the extender was barely able to give 90mbps stood right next to it. If I sat 2m away on the sofa the speed dropped to less than 20mbps. It is terrible, I'm truly shocked at the poor performance, can barely stream at 1080p on my phone, never mind 4k on my TV. I've missed the return window because I was convinced the issue was with something else in the network but, its confirmed to be the extender.

Works nicely for us. Boosted our WiFi so our Ring doorbell and floodlight cameras have a stronger and more reliable connection. The only error I made during setup was not connecting the above devices to the new extended wifi network. Look for _EXT in your list of available WiFi networks and connect relevant devices to your new extended network

Was very hard to set it up with the explanation from the Manuel. But after 1.5 hours if you just sinc it with your router it takes 3 minutes to set it up. Works very well in my two bedrooms upstairs where I use to struggle to get WiFi

Simple and effective. Easy to setup. Just works. The only issue is that even though the mkt material says that range is good for a very large house we dont feel it is. It has issues.
