Kiwi Master Smoked LED Tail Lights for 2018-2026 Jeep Wrangler JL

These look SO good!!! Needed an upgrade, and these are amazing quality! Exactly what I wanted. They fit my 2022 Jeep Wrangler!

Edit: hi, it’s 2026 and these taillights are still working. Sometimes I notice the newer model cars with automatic high beams will turn on behind me because they don’t detect the taillights since the running lights only illuminate the edges of the taillights. Not really a complaint but an observation Edit: it’s been several years now (original review written in 2019, and it is now 2024) and I have had 0 issues with these tail lights functioning. These are super cool, actually. There are currently not many options for aftermarket JL tail lights. I’ve been looking for a few months and these are definitely the best looking on the market right now and have the best pricing. (*cough quadratec wants $400 cough*) Anyway, overall the install was very simple. As silly as it sounds, the hardest part is getting the wiring harness to unclick when removing the factory lights. There aren’t instructions included with these, but a YouTube video can show you how to remove the old lights, then you just need to know to unscrew part of the old light and screw it onto the new ones (photo attached). The lights are also labeled “L” and “R” to idiot proof the install. The LED’s are bright, and really update the look. The smoked finish is super sleek and I’m so happy with this purchase. 😍

Very good quality and easy installation

First, the tail lights look great. Considering the fact that these are smoked tail lights, the lights are bright enough in my opinion; obviously not as bright as the stock Rubicon lights, but that's the trade off when you want smoked tail lights. I think they're bright enough and look great. Second, a previous review suggested they had cracked the mystery of how to mount the resistor by using the clips to secure the bracket to the Jeep. I followed their suggestion and it worked great. Look at those pictures for guidance. Lastly, these tail lights arrived early. Kudos to the seller.

I like the look of this product and it's decent bright at night, the downfall of this taillight is the reverse brightness it's not there. I tried to backup with the jeep and couldn't see anything behind me in my camera. I'll be returning this product and spending the extra money for a better product.

Replaced halogen tail lights on JL Sahara 2018. As most say, there are no instructions. Finding a spot for the resistor is the biggest hassle. I just used double stick tape and put it on the outside of the plastic housing that you have to use from the old set of lights. Very simple. One word of caution. For the passenger side, keep in mind that you may not want to place the resistor in the same spot as the drivers. The reason is the back door hinge swings into the taillight cavity. If the resistor happens to be in its path, you will tear it loose. I installed mine on the upper side of the light instead of the lower side so that it would avoid the hinge. Just install the passenger side with the door closed and you’ll know what I mean. Other than that, beautiful set of led lights. Looks completely original. For What Mopar wants for them, I can replace these 4x and still not spend as much money.

Excellent taillights! Installation was simple, and I’m completely satisfied with the quality. The brake lights are bright and function perfectly. I would definitely buy these again.

100% worth it. Love the smoked look. LEDs are bright. Install was painless. You can google it but on the JL, pop the cover, use a 10mm socket to remove 1 bolt and factory lights are off. You have to take out the 3 screws and use the old back housing for the new lights. Hardest part was disconnecting the factory light plug. It’s on there snug. To install a replacement gas cap, you have to remove the driver side tail light so might as well do both at the same time.

The lights look good so far. Hopefully they don’t have any issues. The only issue was the outside casing was scratched in shipping. The scratch’s are deep.
