This is THE strap for the Timex Expedition - but what a journey it was to find that out
Hard to believe, but when I first put this strap on my new timex expedition watch (the one with the dark blue strap), I absolutely hated it. I got on here and immediately gave it 1 star and a scathing review. Let me walk you through this slow realization that this is in fact, a 5 STAR STRAP for the timex expedition. DISCLAIMER: not yet rated based on durability. I just got the thing. The buckles are very bulky, and if you don't put them in the right positions they tend to bulge out on the side of your wrist (I think I have an average wrist size for a guy - I would give you a dimension that I know off the top of my head but I'm not sure if it has any relation to the size of my wrist so I won't). Anyways, after playing around with the directions of the buckles I actually found that it looks pretty cool to have a little extra size on the buckles. At this point I logged back on to review this strap as 3 stars. To make a long story longer, I originally bought the timex expedition with the brown "leather" strap. I tried canceling the order but it was too late. I was getting two timex expedition watches and I'd have to return one. Little did I know that this mistake would push this average joe 3 star review into a gleaming 5 stars. I got the watch with the brown leather strap. Remember, the same watch. So basically I was able to see how two different style straps looked like on the same watch. The expedition is a small-faced watch. It doesn't pop out at you and honestly, if you have a tame brown leather strap, or even a tame canvas strap, I think it looks too modest. This strap with the bulky buckles makes this watch stand out in the best way. It maximizes the modesty of the timex expedition. Gives a little thickness and ruggedness on the edges that count. "Is that a timex expedition with bulky buckles? What's going on there? Let me mull that one over more than I ever anticipated." That's what people will think a lot. It'll be your friends on a drunk night that finally crack and go, "honestly man, that watch is kinda sick with that black strap". Just get it. It's like 10 bucks.

High quality material, fits great, and looks fantastic
I had been looking for a green with black round Zulu style buckles rather than the flat style i often see. I have purchased Ritchie straps in the past so i knew the quality of item I'd be getting and as expected it was. I prefer wearing a rubber strap but had been wanting this one for awhile after seeing others on this exact watch and thought they paired up well. For the price you really can't go wrong with Ritchie products as they are great quality, the material is soft yet durable, and a great value for the money.

High quality for a reasonable price
This is a pretty good band that i purchased to put on my Seiko skx009. It is of high quality, soft, supple, and thick cut leather. The vintage tan color of the band is accurately represented by the product info picture. Break-in time is minimal and readily forms to your wrist. The thing that worries me most about this band is the first (fixed) loophole. It is placed a little high and is quite thin and flexible, making me question its longevity with rough wear/use. You have to be careful when belting the strap through the hole because it feel like it will loosen and/or rip over time. Other than that the only other thing you have to consider is the thickness of the leather and whether that suits your personal preference. But it is VERY comfortable on wrist and quite handsome.

A Great Economical Solution
Being a veteran I've had the habit of wearing large sturdy watches for a very long time. It seems their only real drawback is rubber watchbands. I never seem to get more than about a year out of them before they start falling apart. Enter the Ritchie Nato Zulu band. I just received my two bands less than an hour ago so I can't really vouch for durability. However, the band seems fairly indestructible. The only real threat would seem to be funkiness from sweat. At this point, I can slip on a spare band for a day or so, wash it with warm water and soap, air dry and reinstall. Installation was a breeze. I simply cut the old rubber band off and threaded the new band through the pins without even having to remove them. There are several ways to do this. So if you're not a big fan of a large ball of excess strap routed through the rings on the outside, there are cleaner alternatives. You can do research on YouTube and it will take you about 10 minutes to try them all out to see which works best for you. Perhaps best of all is the selection of colors and even patterns available in this type of watch band. They easily combine function and fashion so that your watch bands can be changed as easily as you might change a neck tie to match what you're wearing or the look and feel you're in the mood for. They can literally be swapped in seconds. Two bands costed less than a single replacement rubber one. I'm sitting here wondering where these bands have been my whole life.

Very thin, not heavy duty and has not worn well
I bought this in July 2022 to replace my original Timex band (bought in 2015, and finally last year the band broke). It is very thin and the hole in the band has started ripping after a short while. It is not heavy duty IMO, it is a single layer of nylon whereas the original timex strap is two layers sewn together to make a much stiffer band. It was hard to tell from the pictures but it looked very similar to what I had before, and after reading the description it sounded like what I was looking for. However...this is my experience after less than a year. The watch material is fraying all over the band (see pics). The hole is use in the band is tearing now. The bunch of little buckles really don't do much but do add a manly outdoor tough look. Unfortunately the two buckles past the clasp swing and always seem to revert back towards the clasp leaving a flopping tail (see pics). And no, you can't trim the excess due to the swinging clasps I mentioned. BTW, I wear my watch everyday/night if that helps. So is it what I expected from the descriptions and pictures, no. It does look nice for a while though.

Simple to install & looks great
The band broke on my Timex Expedition Sierra & there are a few scratches on the crystal. After a week of searching for a new watch, I decided to just change the band. I chose this band based on the price and positive reviews & am very satisfied. It took longer removing the old band than it did installing this one. I didn’t install it in the “proper” way a NATO band is supposed to be installed, but it’s a matter of personal preference & still works. I ordered the khaki color and although the band looked too “busy” in some of the review photos, it looks great with my watch. I really can’t speak for it’s long term durability because I don’t have it very long, but I can speak for it’s ease of cleaning. There was dirt & mud ground into the band from working around my property & a little Dawn dish washing liquid & water got it looking new again. It dries very quickly & doesn’t seem to get that nasty smell from sweating like leather bands do. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with it and hope it lasts at least a year, unlike the original band on my watch.

Great Strap!
This is just the ticket for my watch. I like the military style and the durable materials. The price is good and I consider it a great value. I am a mechanic and the design lends itself to holding up under the stress. Great strap!

Would not recommend
Was a bit too long for my liking - returned it and ordered a strap from a different brand.

Excelente material
Excelente material que se ve y siente de buena calidad. El único punto en contra es que es un material grueso que no le queda a todos los relojes, sin embargo queda perfecto para mi submariner, así que le doy las 5 estrellas.
