A great switch, child’s play to install. My only gripe is the power socket is on the other side of the Ethernet connections. In my opinion the earlier design was better where the power socket was on the same side as the Ethernet connections.

I consider Netgear equipment to be the gold standard of Network Switches. These are going to replace my current ones, which are almost 20 years old but still working. I've upgraded as I've now got full fibre Broadband at home.

I'm very happy with my unmanaged NETGEAR 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch in black.I was swaying between this and the equivalent TP Link one.The NETGEAR is very well built, reliable, silent, runs the ports at 1 Gigabit (or more) per second, and has power saving features for idle ports.Highly recommended, and I would buy it again.

Excellent fast workhorse. Sturdy, Dependable and well made.Only niggle is I personally would like the power switch to be on the back- however I cannot see where it could go!

Despite that I bought this item via amazon.SE inside EU, it came with incompatible AC plug(I guess UK variant). Therefore I cannot use it.I think that it violates the Low Voltage Directive or alike.
