Emptied the pool (12' , round) in less than 2 hours plus used it to empty the shop vac cuz there was still a bit of water at the bottom. Must have if you have a pool you need to put away for the winter.

Worst pump ever!!! Worked good for about 10 minutes then I shut it off. When I tried to start it again it would not come on. Have tried every thing the book says and nothing works. There is no phone number in the manual for technical support although it says to contact them directly. No warranty information or anything. Would not have given any stars but it makes you to review it.

First one came broken. From reading the reviews it looks like I was sent another customers defective unit. Amazon took care of me and replaced with a working unit. This one seems to work well. Based on other pumps I've used I'd say this is equivalent to a good 1/3 hp pump. I figured as much for the price and seeing I was replacing a 1/3 pump this one works just fine for my application. I use it for a solar pool heater.

love this little pump! I bought it for my inground pool and it works great. water is pumped quickly and it is lightweight and easy to store away when not using. I would definitely recommend!

Other than having to modify a bit to be able to use a standard garden hose would have given 5 stars. Description would have been better if it actually said to fit standard garden hose. The pump works great.

This thing is wretched! It's float switch is the worst design I've ever seen. It's almost guaranteed to snag on something as water level drops and let the pump run continuously.Mine snags on itself! I find it running dry all the time. Absolutely disappointing.Edit, this thing totally died just over a year from purchase. I'll never buy this junk again.
