I get the chestnut shade but unfortunately it’s too dark almost black.

Reviewing the Dark Blonde dye...Pros:-smells very nice (minty almost)-my hair does feel very soft-it arrived quickly-it definitely colored my hair...Cons:-pricey!!! But sometimes quality means more $-I had to use 3 boxes for my first time color. My hair is medium-long length and medium thickness. Not cheap to buy 3 boxes!-the color is MUCH MUCH darker than anticipated. I posted pictures of my hair before and after. In no way is my after color dark blonde, or even close to the color advertised on the box. Also, in the sun it's almost auburn/reddish purple. Definitely DEFINITELY not the color I wanted...

I've tried the light blond, dark blond and both of the chestnut colours. All of them are really nice and brilliant colour. Healthy for your hair and resistant to sun salt fading. It's doesn't make your hair any lighter though and in all cases is a lot darker then you are expecting. It's great if your coulour has been getting brassy or you want to go healthy for a while.UPDATE 5.20: This is like Russian roulette as to which colour you are actually going to get. You will never know.

Great product- no smell! I love it. Easy to apply too. Comes in a tube. No mixing! The only thing is it tends to wash out very quickly. I have to redo every three weeks because the color starts fading.

There's not much to say about the neutralizing bath, other than the hair color instructions say you need to add this to your hair after you finish coloring it. I suppose it stops the color from further intensifying? I don't know. It may seal in the color. It makes my hair just a little rough feeling when I use it after a color, so after I rinse it out, I follow with a cheap conditioner and my hair is fine after that.

Love this product and my hair has gone from damaged to healthy. I have been using it for approximately 6 months. The only downfall is that the color description on box is somewhat off. For example light golden chestnut comes out darker than it really should. Suggestion would be to call 800 number and ask or go to their website to read about colors before you order yours.
