Perfect simple gaming mouse.
I bought this mouse to match my G750 that I recently purchased. I'm mostly a FPS gamer, but I also play the MMO EVE Online, so I didn't require a mouse with umpteen programmable buttons with tons of macro settings. I also wasn't interested in a mouse that needed a 15 page manual just to program and use it. The GX950 seemed to fit the bill pretty well. For starters, it's a fairly straightforward five button mouse with scroll wheel, which makes it perfect for everyday computing, because even a hardcore gamer browses the internet and types things out. No need for 37 buttons, there. The buttons themselves are well laid out for my hands, and the mouse is sculpted perfectly to make it comfortable for long use. The texture is a somewhat soft-touch texture that is flat black. It matches the coating on the G750 quite well. Programming was simple with the built-in software, too. There is a switch just aft of the scroll wheel that allows for four-level DPI adjustment on the fly. Perfect for switching from rolling gun battles to precision sniping on command. Makes things like Battlefield and World of Tanks very enjoyable. This is a wired mouse, which is what I prefer. No extra weight of batteries, and worrying about them dying when you need them. The wire itself has a gold-plated connector, which doesn't actually give any benefit, but will make some people happy with that. The wire is also wrapped with a fabric weave so It has a very nice texture to it. There are also five different ways one can chose where the wire exits the front or sides of the mouse. Three out the front (left, middle, right) and one out each side. The stock photo has the wire coming out of the left-front position. I chose to use that one, simply because it's unique. I'm not sure if positioning the wire actually aids in any way, but it certainly adds to the interesting look of it. The buttons are easy to use and responsive, with no unintended clicks at all. The laser optic tracks well on my mousepad, a couch cushion, a glossy magazine cover and even the cardboard box Amazon shipped it to me, in. There is an adjustable weight system located on the bottom. It comes with five 4.5g weights installed. I have not touched them, as the balance feels perfect for my use. Overall, this mouse seems well built and functional, but I only have a few hours of use on it, so far. Time will tell how it holds up.

ASUS shows how real mice are made.
This mouse has been a little strange, two weeks after i got it, a squeaking nose starting happening every time i click the left mouse button, it was annoying as heck but i didn't want to take the time to send it back. so i kept on using it and a few weeks later the squeaking noise is gone. I've been using for at least four weeks since then and it hasn't make the noise again. and as you expect from an Asus Product it sturdy and works great. my favorite part is the Mouse acceleration built in that you can make lower or higher. its a great mouse.

Fabulous mouse!
It's easy to handle and it's comfortable to grip. I use it for when I surf the web. I have used many wired and wireless mouses through the years. This is by far one of the best mouses I've ever used. You might think it's overpriced, but you get what you pay for. I have tried a $30.00 wireless mouse from a famous brand. It didn't operate this smooth. Wireless mice do have their limitations but also, there was something about the antenna that just wasn't connected right. I'm no expert at wiring but I can tell when a mouse isn't functioning at top capacity. And this mouse is phenomenal and so very responsive. I don't see any lag. If it's there, it's very subtle. I adore this mouse and I'd recommend it to anyone! Thanks ASUS and Amazon! 2 years later and this mouse still works like new! Though the ASUS symbol has faded, the lights still flash when the computer is on. The mouse is still very responsive!

Nice features and feel for a gaming mouse
Got tired of replacing batteries in cordless mice, and wanted some programmability,so I gave this one a try. I don't do a ton of gaming, but wanted ONE feature, which I used to get with older mice - a thumb button for one-touch double-click. Seems like all new mice use the forward/backward page navigation thumb buttons any more, and I was disappointed that double-click wasn't even in the drop-down for these buttons - I had to use a macro (overkill for such a simple function). Anyway...the mouse has good hand feel, isn't too tall or short for my hand, and the adjustable weight feature made an unexpectedly big difference in the way it feels to use. I like the profile settings (3 or 4 button programs available to switch between), and being able to switch tracking precision at the touch of a button is nice too.

Fantastic mouse! It's multiple features are second to none and make it perfect for gaming, feels solid in hand and very comfortable for long term clicking. The mouse comes with extra, detachable weights for those who prefer something lighter, a dedicated switch for movement speed, and the left and right pressure panels are not at all flimsy, and don't depress 'accidentally' when you relax your fingers. The cord is also a flexible fiber casing which doesn't kink or bend, although rather long (not really a bother for regular gamers). All in all, it's a mouse I can and will happily use for a very long time.

NO Warranty on Amazon Storefront Sales
Ordered one of these 5 years ago and it died after 4 years ... OK good enough. Reordered another one from an Amazon Storefront. I made sure to check and AsusParts was listed as a "Asus Authorized Reseller since 2007". Unfortunately, they are authorized in Europe to sell mice, not in the United States. The mouse failed after 11 months, just under 50% through the warranty period. Called Asus, they OK'd the RMA, packed it up to send back. Luckily, wife forgot to mail it ... 2 days later I got an email saying the warranty claim was denied because my mouse was from a lot authorized for European sale only. The email went on that upon receipt I would be charged an unrefundable examination fee of $150 and that would get me an estimate of repair costs. If I paid that, about 3 weeks later I could get my mouse returned. Asus also states ... "we do not accept peer-to-peer sale invoices, such as, eBay, Amazon Market Place, etc." Goodbye Asus / Goodbye Amazon Storefronts

It has LED's that light up CONSTANTLY. Tried to find a method of turning them off/disabling them, couldn'tโ contacted ASUS to try and get help and their solution was "cover it with electrical tape."

Awesomeness
It feels so good in your hand, Ive had other mouse with side buttons but they were kinda awkward to use. The side buttons on this mouse are perfect. The button to change DPI is awesome, If you need slower with more precision bam you got it, Want a faster mouse speed bam you got it and with 5 preset levels and the button on the top of the mouse its so easy and quick to switch to the one u want, also the lights that identify what preset level you are on do a really cool animation when the mouse isnt being used.
