Got exactly what I wanted. Love dark chocolate w. marzipan, and this did not disappoint.

I am of Danish descent..Christmas eve we start.dinner with rice pudding. There is an almond hidden in the pudding..and whoever gets the almond gets the prize…which is always marzipan! ( the customer began with the the intention of the children wanting to win the marzipan, so they would eat lots of rice pudding and there would be more goose for the adults.) This Xmas, I was late in ordering my regular marzipan pig…so ordered this and the whole family said it was the best EVER!

I grew up eating this type candy around the holidays and for Sinterklaas. This is definitely the best quality I ever tasted! Bought them as gifts for family. Everyone loved them. However, not ordering anymore, because I ended up eating an entire box myself LOL. Hopefully they'll be available again next december.

I love marzipan. And I've sampled hundreds of kinds. This is the worst. Pros: 1) It IS refreshingly not too sweet. Cons: 1) It has hardly any almond flavor, certainly not the intense burst of almond one expects from good marzipan. 2) The dark chocolate is similarly amazing bland! It's, quite literally, the most bland dark chocolate I've ever experienced. 3) The 'marzipan' is really a non-descript, stale-tasting, vaguely nut-like flavor. Shamefully bad. 4) The price would be high for quality marzipan. For this dreck, it's truly robbery. I guess there are bad German confectioners after all...

Everything but the price is excellent... As others have said, the quality and the freshness is amazing. However the price is absolutely over the top for 7 oz of candy...! A Ritter sport dark chocolate marzipan bar is an incredible bargain, at about 1/3 the price of these candies, and the quality of the Ritter sport bars are extremely high as well..! (Two 3.5 ounce bars of Ritter sport Marzipan are less than $7 at Walmart). Once a year, these are probably worth it, but I will be buying Ritter Sport Marzipan from now on...!

I'll start off by saying that I'm not a marzipan lover but my partner is and this is absolutely his favourite, so much so that it has become a must have for Christmas, Valentines Day and Birthdays. The only downside is the price which can at times be prohibitive but Amazon generally have some good deals in the run up to Christmas. So, while I cannot speak from personal experience, I'd say that this is a quality product for all marzipan lovers out there. 😊

I was surprised these were so small, as I’ve only ever bought the bigger size, but happy with the quality of the marzipan and the chocolate. And it’s hard to find this brand!
