you have to put batteries in it or plug it in, and on the white box that is connected to the cord you have to move the black button I think and there is also a button to turn it on

Por mi parte... se lo compre a mi hermana y ella lo puso en su habitación, y queda bien.... pero cómo tú dices, ponerlo en el exterior en un bar... se notaría más en la noche, ya que intensidad de la Luz es alta pero no tanto como para alumbrar en el día... y con respecto a la luz del sol, no se si le afectará en algo... porque podría quemarse de a poco o algo así, espero haber respondido a tu pregunta
