I love the fact that he is honest about the struggles and mistakes made as a learner himself. Also feel that he gives a lot of different resources and learning techniques that might help you so you could identify what works for you. I totally recommend this book to anybody that watches to learn not just Japanese but any language because it applies to any language

Definitely changed the way learn Japanese. The book was great and truly opened my eyes on how I view learning a new langue.

The book is awesome and teaches you a few tips. You don't really kind of need it because you have to learn Japanese first to understand the book and the book itself is suppose to teach you Japanese. Doesn't make sense but good book and definitely recommend.

I could have saved hundreds of dollars if I had known about this book sooner! I have taken formal, expensive second language acquisition courses that took weeks to cover the same principles found in this book (and the courses weren’t even specific to Japanese like this book is)! Read this book and do what is says, the strategy inside has helped refocus my efforts for becoming fluent in Japanese.

Much of the information in this book is available for free on the internet. Consider this before making a purchase. It is heavy on general advice and light on specifics. Although researchers and polyglots such as Krashen are mentioned briefly, their recommendations and findings are largely hybridized with more traditional study methods. If you’re looking for a specific program to follow, this book is not it. If you’re starting out and seeking general information and advice about how to study Japanese, or any language really, this might be a fair selection, especially if you already have access to the title through Kindle Unlimited.

The book uses common mnemonic devices to help someone learn a new language and it’s always nice to reinforce and strengthen those techniques. I highly recommend giving this book a read if you’re trying to learn Japanese or any language as it’s techniques can be implemented in any language.

worst book for language study i ever seen , a bit of text that you can get online at much better quality from other sources on Manga language used . total waste of money

A ideia base é muito simples: não usar legendas, ou usar legendas só em japonês. Este livro ensina a fazer isso de forma produtiva e inteligente, e demonstra como isso é possível mesmo para principiantes. Se quiseres saber mais a detalhe como é possível organizar estudos desta fascinante língua ao redor desse conceito, então este livro pode ser para ti! Até agora tenho estado a gostar e a achar interessante.

Non si può definire un libro, quanto un insieme di luoghi comuni e consigli scontati. Inutile e superficiale. Del tutto insulso e anche molto superficiale. Da qualche link e spiega come imparare il giapponese senza un esempio pratico o altro.

I already knew some of the technics that are taught in this book but I never realized how to put it all together to make my Japanese learning faster and more efficient. With lots of examples, useful links and tips this is probably one of the best books I've ever bought because it's not only for Japanese learning but anyone can apply what's taught here to learn any language they'd like. It just changed some parts of my learning life forever!

I bought this for my son who went on a trip to Japan. He found it to be very handy.
