REALLY pleased with my purchase, I decided to buy this brand because Wahl has been a name I've recognised for years in barber shops that always seem to have their clippers of the same brand so I assumed that they were a good make, and my assumptions were 100% right. They're really very well engineered, very robust that gives an excellent shave, unlike some on the market the head pivots so it really follows the contours of your face to get a really close and comfortable shave, they have a nice feel to them in the hand, you can just feel the quality of them in both build and performance, being rechargeable enables you to shave whilst on the go, and in the shower if that floats your boat. I also noticed that you can buy replacement blades for them which just goes to show that it's a premium product. It's very reasonably priced and is as good as any of the high end vastly overpriced models out there. It comes with an amazing 5yr guarantee which clearly shows how confident Wahl are with the longevity of their product. Lubricating oil and a cleaning brush are all part of the package. Can't understand why the yellow model is more expensive than the yellow equivalent? It doesn't make sense. But hey no complaints here, I'm REALLY happy with my new shaver and would recommend it 100% It's a brilliant piece of kit and worth every penny!!

This gives a lovely close shave, best I've had with an electric razor. For me better than a quality rotary, & I've had few over the decades. No irritation at all even the first time. There was no "adjustment" period needed as there are with some types. The knack is to shave everyday to get the best out of it, clean it daily too & give it a drop of oil every month or so. If the whiskers are much longer than a day or two it isn't fair to the foil head type cutters, so use a blade or guard free beard trimmer first. This really is important to obtaining/maintaining satisfaction. With daily use it holds a good charge for weeks. The pop-up sideburn trimmer actually works! It is pleasingly weighty & is powerful enough to never struggle even when running low. It isn't as quiet as a rotary, but there again it does a better job.. I know which I'd rather have. Thank you.

The battery life on this shaver is terrific. Shave everyday and nearly get two weeks worth of shaving on one full charge. It looks good and feels well made, and have been using now for about 4 months and it gives a really good quick close shave. It's not as comfortable on the skin as I'd hoped when comparing to my old Braun series 5 but it's still much better than the cheaper electric shavers I've have in the past.

Took about 4 weeks for my skin to get use to this electric razor as I've always used a DE razor and had to change due to a skin problem. I can't fault this razor, and after persevering with it, I get an acceptable close shave. When fully charged, it lasts about one week, and the side trimmer is a bonus too. I would definitely recommend for the price.

On my 2nd one of these , previous one lasting 4 years before the trimmer gave out. Foil still fine after 4 years. This is a Solid piece of kit. Weighty in the hand, easy to hold. Shaves nicely at last on my aging skin. Nice design.

I've been using electric shavers for 55 years. I've never found a really good one despite trying shavers which, in today's values, cost £25 to £250. I have a tough beard and need to shave every day. I gave up on my last shaver when the shaving time each day for a close shave extended from eight minutes when new to around fifteen minutes. The foil and cutters were ridiculously expensive and each set only lasted about three months before the shaving time extended to fifteen minutes. I have now had the Wahl Lifeproof Plus shaver for about five months. However, from day one, each day's shave has taken at least fifteen minutes which means I need to recharge it every five days. Even after fifteen minutes only parts of my skin feel smooth. I think it is probably the worst performing shaver I have ever had. It is a nice solid design and good to hold with up to 90 minutes shaving before recharging is necessary. The replacement foil and cutters are half the price of the replacement parts for my previous shaver. So it's such a shame that it can't do what it is designed to do - give a good shave.

excellent quality cutters can recommend, I would say it is better than the Bosch I have always previously used and cheaper.

Very good long lasting charge

For the same price the Braun 3+ with the trimmer is a much better shaver, build and quality are great, I used them for years. I ordered the Wahl and it didn't feel like the same quality, bought the Braun 3+.
