Review: Instructions are wrong for connection mode - Arrived really quickly, followed instructions to set up but couldn't get connected after numerous attempts. Checked online and found Help video on AO.com where the instructions differed (minimum of 4 on/off switches not 3 required). Within minutes of trying it this way all 4 bulbs were connected on the TCP app! After another 10-15 mins I had them set up as a group and working with Alexa! Clever bulb
Initial set up was annoying as bulb would not flash quick as per instructions after many attempts but once done it works perfectly very satisfied

Ap mode connection
I have 5g bt router so needed to connect via AP mode...after 3 hours and trying almost everything I stumbled on how to connect. Every instruction to reset bulbs for quick flash says to turn on and off 2 or 3 times...nope it needed 5 times for me...when it starts to flash quick go again 5 times on and off to get it to flash slow...wish someone had told me that and saved me a few hours.

Looks great easy to connect (smart life skill)
I had a bit of trouble connecting but this was an issue with my SKY wifi and not the bulb works great and looks lovely in my new light shade

Can be awkward
I have a few of these and this is the first faulty one I have received. It cannot be reset at all to connect to a network, it behaves just like a standard light bulb working only by using the light switch. *Update*: I think it's only fair to change my review as I eventually got it working but only after trying different things that are not mentioned anywhere online. Power cycle the bulb 10 times (on/off) eventually it will start to flash and use the auto/scan mode in the app to find the device.

Good quality!
Easy to use with Alexa, nice cosy color. My 4th TCP bulb that I buy. The other 3 all fully working after 3 years.

Don’t buy these they just don’t work
I originally bought these bulbs and although a little temperamental to set up I got there in the end. Sadly for such an expensive bulb and on a set of lights we only occasionally use these bulbs didn’t last 6 months. I thought I’d buy some more on the hope that we’d got a bad batch to start with. After many many attempts to get these new bulbs working with my Amazon echo I’ve given up. They will not program and I just don’t think they’re worth the money or the hassle.
