My children grew up in Dartmouth and used to stop by with groceries for her. Wonderful true story. Beautiful illustrations. So very accurate. ❤️❤️❤️

I will just say I love this book.I purchased it for a friend from Quebec who happens to love goats, so the tale is doubly appropriate. We read it together, and we both enjoyed the tale and the illustrations. The book's size does justice to the paintings.While the paintings are lovely and the homage to Whistler's Mother amusing, what I love most about the them is that Noelie is not perfect. Even on the cover, she wears a brace on her ankle and a baseball cap. Her face resembles a wrinkled apple doll's. Her fingers, poking out from her baggy cardigan's sleeves, look arthritic. But her kindness shines through her eyes and her smile.Well done!

What a wonderful book!The art work, is so detailed and the factual story is so beautifully written.The combination of the two make this a winner for all ages.It was a gift for a friend of mine who is also called the Goat Lady in the tiny town in which she lives in far N. CA.I cannot praise this book enough.It was the perfect gift and she loves it!

A nice little book. Perfect for 8-12 year-olds as a rough range. Not your typical "children's book." This one tell's a story and leaves the lessons up to the reader to learn by deduction. A perfect tool for developing such sentiment as opposed to merely dictating preferred principals.

The book finally arrived ... and in pristine condition. Touching story, great illustrations ... but more important for me, this book links to family history. It's why I wanted a copy. This sweet lady was my grandfather's first cousin. There was some delay in delivery, but Chris did offer to ship another copy, at no charge, if this one did not arrive. Thanks, Christ

The Goat Lady is the true story of a woman who cares for her animals and is immune from the criticisms of those in town who don't approve of her. Once people get to know her after an art exhibit of portraits of her, The Goat Lady is appreciated for her character and generosity.

Loved this little book! So many good lessons for young ones to glean from this story. Also acted as a tangible gift that went beautifully with a donation to Heifer Project International on behalf of my little.

This a great book for children. It teaches good values and understanding of people differing from ourselves.
