Do they grow every year

I bought this in April 2021. It is in a pot inside near a window but not in direct sunlight as it cannotwithstand the winter where I live. It is thriving well. No flowers yet.

Do the plants come with flowers or in bud ordo they flower next year

The plants I received are quite young and wouldn't have flowered this year anyway. Gardenia are not easy to grow at the best of times so I won't know how well they adapted until next spring. If I am lucky I may get a few flowers in 2022. I have put my 3 plants into a large pot to hopefully establish healthy roots for a few years before deciding on best place to finally plant in garden. You may well be lucky and get a flowering plant as they can often flower in mid summer, so all the best enjoy the fragrance.

Lovely plant!
