Over my years of researching ancient Egypt, back in 98' I came across an article on Bast. Below it was a statue of her!!!! When I saw it I told my mom that I wanted that statue. That's when I cried because she told me that statue was in a museum. Beings that I was only 9, I had no comprehension of money! BUT!!! Back in 2009 I decided I was going to set out on a sort of online quest to find a statue that was just as beautiful, not as expensive, but still looked like an Egyptian Mau! It's 2017!!! And my dreams have come true!!!!! I love these statues with all my heart and soul!!! In fact! I love them so much that I bought three!!! One of every size!!!! Cats big and small have always fascinated me!!! Now I get to share that love, through Bast! The Goddess of love and peace!!! They give my room just the right amount of elegance!!! And are absolutely stunning to look at! They're one of the first things I see when I walk in! And they're all the way on the other side of the doorway!!! I can't wait until I get the wall decor that goes with them!!!! 😸👍

The figurine itself is made nicely with minor disproportions on her face. I also had to draw the eyeliners to make her look like more typical Egyptian statuette. She is now purrrrrfect!

Happy with this! Was delivered well wrapped in bubble plastic with no knicks or scratches. The size was as advertised.

I bought this for home decor. It is not suitable for use outdoors. There are some very minor imperfections in the painted details, but nothing you would notice when it is sitting on a shelf. Overall I am quite pleased.

My electric tealights fit perfectly and because I love cats/have an interest in ancient Egyptian art I think it’s beautiful. However when I took my chance of buying a 2nd one I was disappointed because not only could I NOT fit my electric tealight candles in it, but it limits your size of selection of tealights a bit.

I love this little statue so much. Such a beautiful tea candle holder.

I got this for my mom since she loves cats and African/Egyptian looking artwork. It is a pretty cool addition to the rest of her collectibles.
