Love the sandals purchased one size larger

I was hopeful about these sandals because I like the look. However, the sandal strap is way too small! I barely got my foot in, but the velcro wouldn't close. The foodbed was the appropriate size, so I know I got the correct size for me. I even had my wife try them on ~ she was able to get them on because the straps fit a womans foot. Seeing this, we double checked to see if we had accidentally ordered a womans shoe - nope, these were mens! I'm not sure what man's foot Teva designed these sandals around, but they got it all wrong! I just read a review on another site, and someone else posted the same thing! (He was a size 14 - I am a size 8). We both had the same problem.

The straps are perfect and fit very comfortable. The shoe has good profile - great for hiking.

The strap was barely long enough to close and stay secure.

I purchased these after reading the women’s reviews that the shoe is too small and had tight straps (bc I’m a lady). I wear a women’s US size 9 / EUR 40. I thought I’d try the men’s version as they are typically wider and perhaps that would combat the sizing and tight straps. I ordered up a size to the men’s 8 and they fit great concerning width and length; however, the right’s strap was perfect whereas the left was super small. This confirmed the QA issue reviewers stated about the straps. I ordered two more pairs (three total) to see if there could be better luck with straps. Guess what, yup! I kept the best fitting left and right and returned the unneeded pairs. Performance: I’ve done several easy hikes and really like these! My go-to sandals were Chacos Mega Z Cloud and Teva Hurricane XLT2; but the feel and grip of these have replaced those. Please note, if you wear socks with any kind of thickness greater than dress socks, then these are not for you bc the straps are not generous enough nor can you get them on and off easily due to fabric. I cannot speak to longevity at this time. I can tell you the footbed softens a bit after a few hikes which makes them flexible, plus molds to your feet. I am middle aged, heavier in weight, and have high metatarsals + arches so support is import; I’ve experienced zero pain in these. I deducted one star bc of the QA issues and hassle consumers have to process in order to find a decent fit. Good luck!

I live in these things, have had ten pair and they fit great and feel great on my feet. I got some happy feet!

First, these sandals look great. The sole is comfortable and the overall quality looks good. Secondly, why are the straps so short!? I do have wide feet but not abnormally wide feet. My ankles are not abnormally wide either. For the life of me I can't understand why Teva made a men's sandal without providing enough strap to fit most men comfortably. Design flaw? If the straps were actually long enough to wear these sandals comfortably this would be an easy 5 star. Long story short.. if you are even close to having wide feet do not buy these as they will not fit. Disappointed.

As a boater who worked many years as a guide I trusted Teva to make well-made durable footwear, suitable for river/running. What I got was the least durable shoe I’ve ever had, including cheapies from the discount store! These are worse! The glue they use now must be poor quality. A strap broke. I re-glued it. Then another, and another, first one shoe then the other. I thought it was worth the effort since I needed them for the river. But when they just came apart at another strap to sole anchor point, it ended up being the cause of a nasty fall onto rocks that would likely have broken the hip of many men my age. These are crap. I will never buy Teva again! Nor from this seller.

Estas sandalias están muy bien diseñadas con muy buenos materiales , los colores muy firmes y bien combinados , además las suelas tienen muy buen agarre , estabilidad y las plantillas son muy suaves al caminar parecen de algodón el diseño del arco es suave y levemente pronunciado ; además las tiras recicladas de plásticos que sujetan el pie son muy suaves y muy fuertes a la vez y si a eso se le suma el acolchonado detrás de el talon y los anclajes de los laterales de las plantillas pues se les agrega un elemento Premium al calzado y que para caminar por el campo , el parque o la ciudad son una herramienta comoda y fresca a los pies aventureros : estoy muy feliz con mi compra.

I used to work in the outdoor adventure industry and retail and always loved my Teva sandals. Comfortable and durable. Unfortunately, over the years, they’ve been much less durable. I used to live in my sandals and get much use out of them, before they finally wear out. This time, they’ve barely lasted 1 year and have significantly less wear on them, than every other pair I’ve ever worn (4 pair over 16 years). Each pair seem to get less and less wear, before they fail. This time though, it’s only just 2 months past their warranty period, which really sucks.

Not my favourite ever pair but after a day or two wearing them in they are pretty comfortable. My first pair lasted over 10 years.

Compré estas zapatillas para mi marido, y las tuve que devolver, lo primero porque no correspondían con la foto del producto, ya que aparece con un cierre de plástico que no lleva, ya que simplemente van abrochadas con velcro y aunque se ven de mucha calidad, no son aptas para pies con empeine alto o anchos, ya que las cinchas son muy cortas y no se pueden abrochar. Una pena ya que como he dicho, son de muy buena calidad.

This is my third pair of Teva's. However, my previous Teva's had one cross-strap near the toes, and an ankle strap. This is my first pair with the multiple zig-zag crossings. That matters. I read several positive external reviews of this model. However, I was disappointed. I am on the small side of US size 8, and can sometimes go 7 or 7.5. I think 8 is the right size for me, because the velcro strap ends up near the mid-point area of the adjustment range. Adjusting these sandals is a nightmare. It takes far too long to put them on. There are three crossing points where the strap passes back over itself. Due to friction, the straps lock into place there and do not slide - which means that you have to tug and fiddle with the straps in three places plus the ankle strap, in order to get what feels like the right fit. You can't set it and forget it - you have to do this every time you put these on. The velcro closure at the base of the ankle is very uncomfortable. The strap material is a little thin, but reasonably comfortable. However, the velcro strip adds stiffness and an uncomfortable edge that tends to dig in to the top of the foot at the ankle. There is no padding under this area of the strap, which seems like a very poor design, especially since rubbery padding was added to the straps in a couple of other places. As a result, the edges of the ankle straps tend to dig-in uncomfortably. The only positive thing about these sandals is the sole, which I find very comfortable. Either I have freakish feet, or the people posting positive reviews have freakish feet. I don't see how these sandals could possibly deserve a 4 or 5 star review.
