I feel sorry for the spider
I have a garage that doubles as a workshop. Like virtually every non-custom home built in the US, it's got one incandescent light socket right in the center of the ceiling. For a two-car space, that's just inadequate. I don't care so much about being able to reeeaaally see my cars when parked in there, but I DO want to see the woodworking projects better so I can avoid mistakes or lopping off a finger. This light screws right into the existing socket and allows you to throw light in three different directions. When you turn it on, it pauses for a second, as if to ask "you SURE you're ready for this? Well OK, you asked for it..." Then it blazes forth in unparalleled glory. Suddenly angels sing and you feel a need to kneel in the presence of God. I mean you can see everything: every corner of the room, every label on every container; it's so bright I can even see my wife's point of view despite being divorced for 15 years. All I can say is that it perfectly lights that garage space such that if you open the door from the house at night when that light is on, you'd swear it's daytime in there. About the only regrettable thing is that I suspect it's blinded the little spider that's lived up near that light for years and keeps the bug population low. He must think the world went supernova.

The light of GOD in my garage! Seriously!
Holy cr*p this thing is bright! I am completely convinced that I made the right decision buying the 12,500 lumen model (no motion sensor). Seriously...I imagine this is what people see when they have a near death experience. The light of GOD at the end of a tunnel. Yes, Iโm taking some poetic license here, but itโs a nice, crisp white light. No yellow tones at all. We previously had a CFL in a basic light in my garage. I took that down and put up a single open bulb unit before installing this. This thing is so awesome. I can actually SEE in my garage. In fact the garage is the brightest room in the house now. At night, every moth within 5 square miles wants to be in my garage. :) With this quarantine weโve been using the garage for crafts and stuff with that kids. This extra light is perfect for us. We had to keep the garage open to get enough light before this, but definitely not now. One warning: Donโt stare at it. Seriously. Youโll be be seeing the LED panels for an hour. :) Obviously Iโm very happy with my purchase.

Incredibly bright
I was extremely surprised at how bright this was. It's super easy to install - just like any other light bulb. I'm using this for my garage woodshop and only have 1 socket, so I need to have a VERY bright light if I can only have one. This fits that bill. I wouldn't say there's a ton of difference depending on where you adjust the lights to, but that's just because it's so bright. The only thing I could tell made a difference on where you point the adjustable light panels was for creating a glare. When I'm trying to see inconsistencies in my clear coats, pointing it in a certain direction helps with creating a glare. Also, being able to point it away from my face when I need to look up is helpful. Overall great product! I couldn't hope for a brighter light.

Really bright!!!
Easy to install, I mean if you can screw in a light bulb these will not present problem for you. I installed two of these in my basement as I was tired of either replacing fluorescent tube or ballasts. Now with only two, I have lots of light in the basement. Usual slight delay as they are LED and I think these would be perfect for any garage with 8-10 foot ceilings due to the amount of light they offer, plus you can adjust the direction to help eliminate any dark areas. Taller ceilings would probably require higher wattage and lumens to be really effective.

Nice while it worked
Was fairly bright when it worked. It did work for 3 years...one panel started flickering one day, then everything stopped working the next day. Bummer, but it was bright & super easy to install, so that was great.

Be very aware of 2 problems.
These things are great with the exception of 2 things. 1. You more than likely will need to buy the extensions to install these unless you are putting them in a generic ceramic fixture. 2. They create a lot of RF noise. If they are on outside the garage door, the radio controlled opener won't hardly work. They also create a lot of RF noise in other spectrums. (Ham radio!!!!) Other than that they are great and super Brite. I have around 16 of them.

Almost too bright!
Just like putting in a light bulb, a very large and heavy one but simple. Puts out a lot of very white light that transforms the garage. Just like any other light source you don't want to look right at it but without any diffusion it can be a little difficult not to catch it from a standard ceiling height. Still, I'm very pleased and would order again. One thing to note, it takes a second or two to come on. Long enough for you to turn the switch back off, then on then off, without it ever illuminating. The first time my wife used it she said it wasn't working. I told her to turn it on and wait, she did and said "Oh.....dang! that's bright!"

UPDATE: 2 Failures im under 1 year. Original: 2 of these = daylight
Edit after 1 year: 2 lights failed. One failed within 3 months, which they replaced quickly. The replacement then failed about 9 months later, and they have been unresponsive to multiple outreach attempts. They're bright, but they're junk. They're designed to look like they have metal heat sinks, but they're plastic. They can't survive cold weather. They live in my garage, which is insulated but usually has the heat off, so it gets down to 20-30*F, and the cold weather seemed to kill them. Old review: I just installed these in my decently sized 2 car garage, and as many other reviews say, it really is like turning on the sun. I gave these a try instead of going through the effort of installing a bunch of LED shop lights, and these really did the trick. I do a lot of work on cars in the garage, so having a lot of light is important. I may still install a few shop lights on the walls to get more multi-directional light since these lights aren't exactly a pannacia, but man, they're really "outshining" my expectations. Ugh, when did I become such a dad?
