2.4lb Mummy Kids Sleeping Bag

This is a rectangular bag, with actual comfort and limit temperature ratings, in a price range that I can hand over to my kid... and it's nicer than I expected! The insulation is well distributed with no gaps at the edges. There are insulated zipper plackets. The zippers are plain ol' zippers (no magic to keep fabric from getting stuck in them) but seem to work well. The lining isn't the ultra-smooth stuff that causes sweating and then sticks, but it isn't rough or fuzzy either.The 3.7lbs/fill bag has a comfort rating of 41F and a limit of 32F. So it's not ultra-lightweight, but we're not going backpacking -- and I didn't want to pay for an ultra-light bag that will require more careful washing and storage anyway. (Lugging their own stuff from the car to the campsite builds character, right?) I think it will be really difficult to get the bag back into the compression sack, but it has cords on the end for old-school rolling and tying.Edit: After taking the bag camping, I can say that my kid was ok using it in 50-degree weather. The zipper that holds the round/headrest part onto the body of the bag keeps wanting to come unzipped, so when we got home I zipped it up and sewed the zipper teeth together just past the slider. This is within my limit for reasonable product customization, but I would also have happily paid a few bucks more for the bag to have a zipper that stayed in place without modification.I have not tried to wash it yet.

LOVE this sleeping bag! I use it as a stroller cocoon for my toddler and it works amazingly! Not only that, but it can extend in the feet too for when kids grow. It is nice and toasty with an almost jersey-sheet-like material on the inside! The zipper is nice and sturdy, and it fits well in the storage bag. Used it as a stroller blanket, as a sleeping bag, and the only thing I am upset about with it is that I didn't buy it sooner! It is puffy but lightweight. And the material on the outside is sturdy for camping too!

I bought this for my 2 year old and it has plenty of space for her to grow. I like the fact that I can make it short so she doesn’t get lost in the bag now. I’m 5’2” and I would not fit length wise in the bag if I tried so I wouldn’t get this for taller/ older kids. The bag is nice and warm but it is bulky compared to my down bag. Very good quality for the price. I wanted something that would work for camping but I wouldn’t be afraid to let my daughter play with it if she wanted because it is expensive. Good tough material. It kept her warm outside by the fire in 40 degree weather.

Updated review as of July 7, 2019. Customer service is great! Because of this we would buy from their company again, with no hesitation. They reached out and offered to send the correct sleeping bag at no cost to us. We received it quickly (within approx a week from talking to them). Initial review was a 2 star which was mostly due to the incorrect header on Amazon. My son was comfortable in his sleeping bag. And now we have the correct one for our next camping trip! Biggest advice is to make sure you read the description, not just the header, to choose the correct sleeping bag for you.Original review: Listing/header says it is 40 degree 3 season sleeping bag, however when i got it the tag showed "comfort range" at 50-59. To be fair it shows it in the description. However the listing shouldn't say 40 degree if it isn't 40 degree. We were looking for a sleeping bag that went below 50 and this is not it. Unfortunately we opened it and have a camping trip planned for the next day so are unable to return it.As others have commented you can hear it when you move but you can hear a lot of sleeping bags. It is no louder than others. The hood detaches easily (almost too easily). The ties to keep it bundled could have been easier to use as you have to actually tie them-no elastic that you tighten. Made it hard to stuff back in the bag it came with.

My son got this for Christmas and took a nap in it as soon as presents were done. Very warm and good quality.

My daughter and I needed some sleeping bags for an overnight stay at the zoo for her Girl Scout troop. We aren't outdoor people, so we didn't have these kinds of supplies so to Amazon I went. Honestly, I bought this because it was pink and she likes pink things. Bonus that it seemed warm (the part of the head tightening up is cool) and squishy (comfy). She seems to enjoy it, as we only "camped" (slept inside of a room in the learning center at the zoo on an air mattress) once, but she likes to use it all the the time at home.I cannot comment on it's durability in an outdoor setting or how well it keeps you uncomfortable in a non-climate control environment. BUT, my cat did pee on it and when we were spraying it with the smell removal spray, it rolled right off of the fabric; so I'd say it would probably work really well in the rain.

I really like this sleeping bag. It fits kids nicely, with some extra space depending on the age of the kid. The oldest age that would fit in this sleeping bag would probably be about 11 or 12.This sleeping bag is very good quality. It doesn’t tear easily. It also comes with a good bag to carry it in. It doesn’t take up so much space if in a suitcase, but since it comes with a bag to keep it in, you don’t even have to put it in the suitcase. It can just be carried.This sleeping bag is also nice and warm.I haven’t had any problems with it so far.I recommend REDCAMP kids sleeping bag.

I love that this sleeping bag has a zipper at the bottom that allows you to shorten the sleeping bag for smaller kids. my 4 year old fit perfect and said it was cozy. The sleeping bag was able to pack back up into its sleeve pretty easily and is lightweight for packing. Still waiting to test out how warm it is while camping but the thickness already is better than other brands we have tried.
