Basil Herb Seeds- Genovese- Pesto Heirloom- 300+ Seeds

What could you possibly need to know? These are basil seeds- seeds that come from basil. You put them on wet dirt… and guess what? Basil grows. Wow. Aren’t you glad you checked the reviews to be sure that these are, in fact, basil seeds from the basil plant that grow basil? Amazing.

These are so fast growing. Almost all the seeds I plant germinate and no matter the environment. And they taste great. I've harvested and dried some as well as use them great in pasta and other dishes. Great companion to my cherry tomatoes.

This is a great product with 95% germination. I gave it a 4 only because of rather slow delivery.

I’ve been using these seeds in the aero garden to start the plants, then transferring them to the garden once they’re a few inches tall. I’ve been getting healthy plants. The leaves are large and the flavor is great. I’ve been loving being able to make my own caprese salad and pesto as desired. I highly recommend these seeds!

I'm writing to update my review. I still can't comment on the plants because they didn't germinate, but when I planted these and the cilantro, I hadn't noticed that these were marked as needing soil temp between 70-80, while the cilantro were labeled lower, like 60 or so. My windowsill is quite cool in the winter, so it's very possible that's why I had no germination. Just a note for folks to try to germinate these somewhere warm!Old review :Pretty disappointing - not a single one germinated. They were in the same setting as some cilantro seeds I planted at the same time, and the cilantro are doing so well I had to thin them. Too bad.

The seeds sprouted within the week and since then have been growing slowly but steadily. The leaves are smaller than typical store bought Basil and overall the plants are not growing as large as previous standard Basil I've grown in the past. Not fully sure if this is an expected characteristic of this version or if the growing conditions are the cause. It's also a thicker leaf than standard store bought version. Flavor is good and strong so overall a nice change of pace to have tried.

I bought the seeds to plant in my aerogarden. I planted them on Monday and within 2 days they has started to sprout. It has been 6 day and the plants are getting ready to have their first set of true leaves. I purchased my Aerogarden the first year they came out and have planted Basil in it every fall. This is the fastest the plants have ever sprouted. The basil has not gotten big enough to taste the quality yet. I will up date my review when I know how strong the Basil is. My first impression is this is the highest quality of seed I could find on Amazon.Update- today is 2 weeks since I planted the basil. I have included a photo. I tasted the basil for the first time today and am so happy. I has a strong and very pleasant flavor. I will be harvesting some leaves for the first time this weekend to make pizza. I highly recommend these seeds.

These seed are very good. You can eat them right off the plant. They are that good. Only issue is there were some other seeds that are not basil. They grow but not sure what they are. Bean? Overall, beautiful basil.
