Good game
Easy enough gameplay. Too much reading in my opinion. I was hoping for better cinematics.

For older kids. Kind of cute, not especially fun.
I got this to play with my Dragons-obsessed five-year-old. For a game on a console platform, I expected a lot more. This could be an app or a DS game... It plays like Pokemon. You must read to understand the story, no voices for characters or nice cinematic scenes. That said, it is definitely targeted for older kids who are strong readers. I anticipated being the reader while my son played, but he had a hard time staying interested in the subtleties of the plot. The story itself is interesting and original. You play as a new character and his dragon, and get to interact with favorite characters in the world of Berk. It has a lot of spatial puzzles, like maneuvering through a dungeon trying switches to unlock new paths. Tasks could be more interesting, combat tactics could be more interesting, improving dragon skills could be more interesting. Meh. Wait til the price goes down if you are still curious...

Reminds me of my old gameboy in high school
I bought this game for my 8 year old daughters birthday. It is a good game but I was surprised that there is no voicing you have to read the whole game. The only sound is music and random grunting lol. Gameplay is exactly like older gameboy games. But my 8 year loves it she is a die hard HTTYD fan as am I. But on the ps4 console this game could have done more. But if you liked your gameboy as a kid and like dragons it's worth getting. But I'd wait for the price drop.

The game really isn't good at all...
Simply stated, this game is a complete waste of time. There is nothing fun or enjoyable about it for a family or for young children. Gameplay is mediocre at best and isn't very exciting.

Subpar
Graphic’s are subpar. The storyline is subpar. The whole entire game is not worth the money spent. My kids and I are very disappointment in this game.

Pretty good game. Better than expected
So far this is a great game. It’s way better than I expected. I think it will be one of those under rated games. Definitely give this a try, especially if you’re a fan of how to train your dragon movies.

Not worth the buy for younger kids.
I bought this for my 6 yo son for Christmas, he never knows what to do because he is not at this stage of reading everything and no one speaking. I don’t want to sit here and tell him everything since I got a 1 player for a reason. The graphics are old school. Not happy with purchase but it’s my fault for not reading the reviews first I guess.

Fun for all ages!
Great game. Just wish it was a bit longer. Only took me a few hours to beat it.

Almost perfect
Game play is pretty basic,but I wouldn't recommend this for children who can't read yet as there is alot of reading.
