(Old Model) Seagate 500GB Desktop HDD Sata 6Gb/s 16MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive (ST500DM002)

I purchased this Seagate 500GB Desktop HDD for my desktop computer, and it worked perfectly right out of the box. It's a standard 3.5-inch internal SATA drive with 16MB cache, and installation was straightforward. The drive has been running smoothly without any issues. It's reliable, quiet, and does exactly what it's supposed to do — great for everyday storage or as a secondary drive. If you're looking for a basic, no-frills hard drive for a desktop PC, this one is a solid choice. Highly recommended.

Smooth and easy install, and I was able to reload all my WIN 10 Home and programs and files from a backup drive so as to save my stuff before Update Service ended. This is in about a 15 year-old backup desktop that the drive had crashed, so I want to restore this unit before too late. I am pleased with the transition and upgrade.

Needed an old model Seagate 500GB HDD for my 2012 iMac computer. Wow....easy to install and when running the internal program for installing the Mac OS...the Seagate Hard Drive worked perfectly. Also...super fast delivery by Fusion Technology

This has become my drive of choice for a C: drive. On this order I am using them as a clone back-up (clone 1 & clone 2 ) for a small business owner. That way they only loose 1 days worth of the work at best. It also gives them 2 chances to get back up and running with less stress. Data back-ups are done on another larger internal Seagate drive. This is not being used as a 24/365 runtime drive. That said, I can not find a really good reason to move up to the WD Black drives that would be a choice for 24/365 constantly on & high demand usage. Conclusion: Best drive for speed, durability, and price. Will be buying more. Amazon is my choice as a vendor. 5 (five) STARS TO AMAZON

Good hard drive and good reasonable price

last seagate purchased was a 20mb unit for $350.00 proprietary for apple computers 1982 approx.. they've come a long way since the early days. So far this unit is working perfectly but we will have to wait and see in a couple of years if its still workin ok. I'm using it as a backup drive for my main HD's in a two bay backup box from ineo.
