How do I attach the shock mount to this boom pole. Do I need to purchase a separate screw for this?!

All of my spider mounts simply screw on to the end threads of the boom...No problem. Nothing more needed.

Looking to use an iPhone for an overhead video shot. With an iPhone tripod holder, can this boom be used?

This boom is a BEAST! My guess is that if you are using an iPhone for an overhead video shoot, the size and weight of this boom might be a bit too much.Also, I have a difficult time keeping the rotation correct with a microphone - so you may have a challenge getting the angle you want with your iPhone - might take some engineering.

Yes this is a stable mic stand, but it takes up a lot of space. It’s great for use in a room with higher ceilings.

How tall is the stand fully extended?

Over 6' tall fully extended. It's pretty sturdy Unpacked it this weekend, and it truly is much sturdier than the standard microphone boom stand. For a recording studio environment, I am very pleased to say this is a much better choice than the standard stand. Fully extended, it's 82" inches long.
