Great for football loving young readers
My 8yo son is a keen football (soccer) player, watcher and video gamer. He really enjoyed these books. The stories and characters clearly captured his interest and imagination and he loved telling me about all the goings on in the academy throughout the series. He read the entire series in 2-3 weeks.

My 8 year old is stating these again after finishing the old series. He likes to come and tell me new words he is learning in British English :)

Grandson Loves Them
Our 10 year-old grandson loves these books. He is not an avid reader unless it's something that is of interest to him - much like his grandfather when I was his age. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyable books
I read these with my football obsessed 7 year old. We both enjoy them. They are well written and I think they actually comes across with some good life lessons from the perspective of a kid following their dream and how a parent should hope to act in certain situations. I recommend these for any child into football

Great books for novice readers
My son who has always found reading a chore really fell for these books - to the extent that I found him reading by torchlight at midnight! Good easy reading with stories young reader can follow and enjoy.
