If you are severely magnesium deficient, even good whole foods won't be enough for you to get to where you need to be. Magnesium helps with energy production, detoxifications (no one wants to be constipated), it helps to build bones, muscle relaxation so getting deeper sleeps, as well as a multitude of other things. Magnesium can even help fight depression. It is a very very needed macro-mineral. When looking for any sort of supplement you want to make sure they don't have many or if any extra ingredient, artificial ingredients or fillers. I've used this brand of magnesium for well over a year and it did seem to calm my anxiety throughout the day. However, I began taking it a night to help with sleep only to discover it had the opposite effect. I suddenly had insomnia and removing this from my nighttime routine finally helped. Not sure why it had this effect, but if you find yourself suddenly having trouble sleeping, you may want to consider this. I might try adding it back to my morning regime to see what it does.
