Clip on magnifier glasses
I have used these clip ones for years and love them. A magnifier does not work for me but these little, light weight glasses work perfectly! They are easy to use and easy to carry them around with you.

Great for Cross Stitch
I really like these for cross stitch. Saves me from having to wear an annoying magnifier around my neck. Because I can see almost well enough without the magnifier, I ordered the +1,00 and they work fine. I fit them so that they cover only the closeup portion of my bifocals and I can easily look through the top part without flipping them up. They do overlap and hang below my small glasses, but still work fine that way.

Basically does the job ... NUMBERS ALERT!!!
Basically does the job.Pros: 1) Holds tight. 2) Fairly clear plastic lens. 3) Swings up, out of the way. 4) The diopter number I bought (+1.00) seems like it is actually that.Cons: Wish the lenses were a bit larger so I wouldn't have to slide these around as much on my prescription (and as it is, I have smallish prescription glasses). These are only 1&1/2" at the widest and 1&3/8" at the highest and, as you can see by the picture, they are "styled" lens shapes, so some of the lens is smaller than that. I only get about 50% view area compared to my prescription lenses. (I CAN slide these up and down a bit on my prescriptions to accommodate PC vs reading a book, but I'd rather not have to.)Alert: "Magnification" and "Diopter" is not the same and is a very confusing topic. The listing says "1.00 Magnification" in the title and "(+1.00) Magnification" in the description. Any time you see a DIOPTER number (a plus-something) it's a vision-correction factor, not a magnification, although there is a magnification component in the higher diopters (for example, you get 1.5x magnification in a +2.25 diopter). You may want to CORRECT your vision, in which case choosing a proper diopter is most important. Go to your pharmacy, hold various diopter reading glasses OVER YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS and read something small AT THE DISTANCE YOU WILL USE IT (like 12" for a book, 24" for a laptop, etc.)You may want to MAGNIFY your work, in which case, you will have to keep your work close to your face (the more magnification, the smaller the view). For example:+3.00 diopter = 1.75x = 75% bigger apparent size = 13" focal length (distance from face to work)+5.00 diopter = 2.25x = 125% bigger apparent size = 8" focal length (distance from face to work) = (hold closer = smaller view)I would recommend doing the pharmacy test. You'd be surprised that if you CORRECT your vision with the proper diopter, the magnification won't be such an issue for you.

Made to sit low on glasses
For my purpose these were not quite right. They appear to be made to sit low on your glasses like you were reading something in your lap or holding below your shoulders.I need to have something for work that will allow me to see monitors at eye level and slightly above. If I just barely clip these on, they will work. But any touch and they fall off or become crooked. If you are reading below eye level, you may find these fit your need better than they did for me.
