The chalk inside is a solid ball. Had to smash it against the floor for 5 minutes before it's usable. After I got the chalk loose, the sock worked as expected. It lets just enough chalk out so that my hands can be coated while not leaving a mess everywhere.

Its chalk in a sock. I've bought theses a few times and they work great. These chalk balls keep the mess to a minimum and the chalk is good qualtiy. I wouldn't try to refill them though. The socks don't open up that much and its hard to get anything into them.

I like them. But they are not as good as the powder form. Less messy but less grab as well. I use them for deadlifts and have to use every time.

Its an okay product i like the chalk for the most part but mainly brought it for the pouches but they are not very effective in releasing the chalk and you have to take the balls out every time to get a good amount. Therefore i only recommend for the purpose of the chalk because it is nice.

They were exactly what i was looking for, easy to use, and the chalk break easy enough before initial use.Now i don't have to worry about getting chalk everywhere.

We purchased these to use at my daughter's cheer gym. They don't have air conditioning in their Florida gym so it is very hot and humid. When stunting, the bases were having a problem holding onto the girls as everyone was sweating. I purchased these in hopes of having something small and subtle for them to use before stunting. They are the perfect hand size and produce enough chalk without making a mess like a traditional chalk bowl. It is also easy to refill.

Only complaint I had with these is that the chalk ball inside was very hard I smashed it against the barbell a few times.But besides that grip is great lasts for a few sets without having to reapply

My gym doesn't let me bring in proper chalk in a tupperware so i use these instead. They work best if you crack/crunch the balls up first. My grip has increased tremendously and I like using chalk much better than straps as it allows me to continue to build my grip strength.
