These are great for my use. I have a sleeve tattoo and these protect it from the sun very well. Had my doubts about the 'cooling' factor and the size. Almost instantly felt my arms cooling off. As far as sizing; with rather large arms they felt great after first use (started out feeling a little tight, but after 1 wear, conformed to a nice fit.Great product at a great price.PLEASE NOTE: A a former athlete I would not use these as 'padded protection' for football (which really inst't the intended use). Works great for my use or basketball or an extra layer against sliding on things like turf/AstroTurf.

I'm a 5'11" male with moderately long arms. These are a moderately good fit, but they are on the short side, and the wrist area needs to be tighter. I'm going to try and stretch mine - to elongate them. In the picture they look shaped, but in reality they are more of a slightly tapered tube. The last 3" of the sleeves (wrist area) are for me a loose fit. The upper portion is fine, although they are certainly not a true compression garment. Compression has become a buzzword that gets applied to anything made of Lycra - anything that stretches, and these arm covers are no exception. For cycling, I'm finding that these are not good in cooler weather, as they feel as warm as true arm warmers on the climbs, but cool on the downhills. I think these will be best for summer rides

These sleeves are top quality for the price point. They are extremely breathable and comfortable to wear once they are broken in. The durability is also superb, they will hold up to much abuse. I've been using these at work to protect my arm from sun exposure and scratches for my new full sleeve tattoo, and I will continue to use them to protect my tattoos from sun exposure. I would highly recommend these over any other products for protecting your arm, whether it be for tattoos or just to protect against sun burn, bug bites, etc. The only con I can come up with, is that one of the sleeves threading on the wrist portion pulled out comepletely. This is not something that I even have a complaint about though, because it hasnt affected the fit or functionality of the sleeve whatsoever, and im sure this is an uncommon issue.Overall; great sleeves with excellent color selection, great price point, awesome durability, and superb comfort and breathability. I will continue to buy this product, and would recommend it to anybody!

I used this product for motorcycle riding. They seem to keep the sun off my arms. They were cool and comfortable. The first day I wore them they started to shred apart like an old sweater. As I'm walking around and they're rubbing against my body and Bess they start deteriorating.

These are very good sleeves. The only issue I had was that they repel water pretty effectively. To stay cool, I typically wet the arm bands down, which has a great effect.These stretch very easily, and quite a bit. I wear L/XL in other brands. These come out of the package too short to cover my fore-arms. However, as I pull them on, they easily cover my whole arm without forcing it at all. They simply stretch a lot, then go back to their original shape when I remove them.Initially, when I tried them on indoors, I was concerned that they felt a bit warm. However, using them eliminated that concern altogether. These were very cool compared to my back, under a light moisture-wicking shirt. I was able to wet these down by dowsing in water for a while before putting them on. Then, they worked even better.They provide a very light compression. For sun-covering and cooling, I'd certainly buy these again.

... they fit snug on ME. I do NOT have BIG powerful arms. IF I did, they MIGHT fit. If you're say a gymnast type or track and field, soccer player body type these should fit you just fine. They provide 'SOME" degree of compression depending on your personal needs. They got me over the top as the tendons on the inside of my elbows (golfer's elbow I've heard and seen it referred to in other reviews here) are problematic so I was having difficulty with lifting things. With these sleeves I have improved performance and ability in the use of my arms in general. These have given me a start. I found that they DO work to enough of an extent that I am now seeking apparel that provides greater compression concentrated in that area of concern for me. If you want a garment that looks good, feels good on your skin with a need for compression gear that provides a minimal amount of compression you can't go wrong with these.

I'm required to wear sleeves at work, and these are quite awesome. They definitely have a cooling effect, thought it's not quite as noticeable anymore as when I first bought them. Yes, they do run, at least one of my sleeves did, but it is only slight cosmetic damage and does not ruin functionality.These things looked small but stretch far enough to go from my wrists to my elbows. I do a lot of lifting and moving and they stay in place really well. Will likely buy another pair soon.As a side note, being outside in the sun, these get hot pretty quickly. The cooling effect only happens when there is some amount of wind, or when I go inside.
