He hasn’t needed to use the pick and whistle yet (thank goodness) but said they’re a great addition to have
I got this safety kit for my avid fisherman boyfriend. He hasn’t needed to use the pick and whistle yet (thank goodness) but said they’re a great addition to have. He has used the ice cleats twice now, and said they work very well & are easier to put on and carry around than the other clunky pair he had. Now that he has these, it gives me an extra sense of security when he’s out on the ice alone. Great purchase.

Ice cleats were easy to get on and worked great!
The cleats were easy to get on and worked perfectly in very icy conditions. The ice picks were not used but very comforting to have just in case. Good products at a good price!

Do the job on ice!
These are awesome for ice...but hard to walk when you hit dry pavement.

Cleats are great, spikes are thankfully untested
The cleats work really well, and fit my wife's small 7 boots as well as my larger 11 ones. They work on ice and even on hillsides with packed ice and snow. I hope I never need to write an experiential review on the ice spikes.

Just what we needed.
We really needed the ice picks for "just in case" ice fishing but the cleets were the real bonus. Perfect for walking on the ice. The whistle is nice to have for emergencies, cause who goes out and buys a whistle. Nice set, get one!

Safety always, good set.
Haven't had to use the ice picks or whistle (TG). The ice picks seem to be of good quality though. The spikes don't have the best traction. They actually tend to slip if you don't pay attention to your footing, the spikes could be stickier. Overall, good set.

All the essentials in one kit
If your on the ice even just once this kit is your personal safety must haves! Don’t think you’ll never need it because the woulda coulda shoulda might happen to you.

Quality and value kit
Grips are excellent, ribbed with rubber texture. Mechanism for spring protected spike is perfectly effective and I am impressed with the sturdy sharp point. The coil band extends nicely around my collar and sleeves. The boot covers are standard and overall quite a low package price. Very happy with the purchase, for my skating, ice fishing and snowshoeing on lakes.

Decent!
The whistle sucks but who's really buying it for that anyway! Picks and cleats seem like great quality so far.
