Do not buy this bike unless back brakes are not important to you.
I bought this bike for my granddaughter. Obviously should have read the reviews first. After one week, the back brake pads were totally worn down. We replaced them but have been unable to have them adjusted right so she still has no back brakes. This bike is useless and the manufacturer/vendor should show a little conscience and discontinue the sale and manufacture of this poorly designed and defective bike. I do NOT recommend wasting your money and even worse, gambling with the safety of the rider on this bike.

Know how to take care if your bike
I'v always had cheap bikes like this. There is nothing wrong with this bike considering the price. Perfect for someone that can take care of the bike. don't drop all your weight on the peddles and switch gears at the same time and you should be fine. I'm a 22 year old 205lb Marine. I'm able to ride this bike without breaking or problems so, should a small child. Just make sure the bike is taken care of and store it inside while keeping it well cleaned, lubricated, and protected.
