Fit just fine and does the job’s

The burning smell was the brushes disintegrating and falling apart, it didnt withstand the heat for 15 seconds before doing that.almost half of each brush is missing and you can see a bunch of what looks like impurities that got hot and caused it to start failing..no doubt it would have been a catastrophe if i would have kept running the engine..

Easy repair

I have three Makita Circular/Skill saws now. My neighbor was throwing his in the garbage because it stopped working.., but instead gave it to me. i dont know what he used it for, but it was a low mileage saw. One of the brushes was lodged by debris and difficult to remove. Once I got it out, the new one slide right in. Runs like new!

Not the size as advertised. Had to adapt by reducing the bush to size . Made them fit. Wouldent trust the size advertised.

An alternative (cheaper) spare part replacement, works with my black and decker circular saw

All though it was difficult determining whether these fit my saw, in the end it solved my problem.

The specs. state that the dimensions are 0.5 x 0.9 cm. but the brushes I got measure 0.6 x 1.5 cm. Bummer. No good at all to me. I can't even shave them down because the spring is too big. So what's the solution. No sense ordering it again because I'll probably get the same error. So, is it an error in picking or an error in the specs. No way to know.
